I don't know for sure, but check the requirements and see if it requires a 32 bit version of XP or Vista.

ummm, that's my point - it just says 3ds max 9, and there's a 64 bit and 32 bit version. i don't see why the 64 bit version wouldn't work, but then again, it is EA, so i really wouldn't expect them to know. i think it's a matter of the .dll that comes with the sdk that you have to put in the directory - it could only be supported by the 32 bit version. anybody have any ideas?

The dlls required by the sdk are for compiling xml files properly.

And yeah, you're probably right. The people that work in the industry and built the game probably don't know anything.

About all you can do is try. I don't know if it will work on the 64 bit one, as it was likely only compiled for 32 bit. If the 64 bit one is compatible with 32 bit plugins, you should be set.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

3ds max 9 doesn`t work with W3D as skinning before to export W3X.

3ds Max 7 does.
