dunno how much traffic these subforums get, but i figured i post my latest schoolwork here.

basically a character animation assignment. make a model, rig the model, animate it and try to tell a story at the same time. used about 2 weeks modelling and shading him, then 1 week making a semi-professional rig with blend-shapes and stuff, then one week of rendering and 3 days of rendering with varying results.

havent gotten youtube links to work on these forums yet, so you'll have to live with a link

Pretty sadistic end if you ask me ;)
Can't tell you much more as I don't know much about 3D art, but it sure looks cool.

well it has to end somehow :wink_new:. basically i was trying to give the doughnut-rock a bit of personality and a grudge for not getting him the first time. the plan was to make him climb up again, but 1 minute of animation in one week is insane enough.

3d is fun stuff, hopefully i'll get a job working with it when I'm done studying it. its far from flawless, the rig is not as easy to use as it should have been, and that makes for stiffer animations. then again its alot more advanced than the game-animation rigs i've worked with before so it will take some time getting used to making good rigs.
