actually there is no need to force someone to go anywhere :p

for examle, if the scripted scenarious could be included in normal wotr as they ll be in the non linear campain, i would just love to play certain situations with diferent races that there should be in campaing
(anyone curious, when could Isen. defend helms deep agains Isen. scripted ? ;) )
i would love to siege MT with pur MotE units, or try to break through Minas Morgul with some really badly pissed dwarfs :D

soo i hope youll be able to get it work into normal wotr as well :thumbsupsmiley:
"Let this scar signify the first blow against the mortal world."
"From this seal shall arise the doom of men,"
"who, in their arrogance, sought to wield our fire as their own."
"Blindly they build their kingdoms upon stolen knowledge and conceit."
"Now they shall be consumed by the very flame they sought to control."
"Let the echoes of doom resound across this wretched world, that all who live may hear them and despair."

"Tremble, mortals, and despair! Doom has come to this world!"

Rob means like have the player forced into helms deep or minas tirith on a certain round...I think. Which is useful, cause now you can kinda skip it and do whatever you want :thumbsupsmiley:

I'd say have it be like that for the normal campaign, but WotR just....whatever :thumbsupsmiley:

I actually think Myrdin's idea would be better. Remember the box from the original BFME, it had the Army of the Dead at Helm's Deep and the Witch-king at Isengard, and we couldn't do any of it? Since the linear campaign will have by-the-books story progression, maybe Rob can give us the freedom to choose which army we use to assail which region. It would be very fun, course it's all up to you Rob :thumbsupsmiley:.

THat sounds more like an update that could be added on later when the mod is finished. Right now, I think that once you guys get your current WOTR campaign done (as well as the rest of the mod) that you guys could update the WOTR campaign allowing even more flexibility than it already has.

Has no one been listening! :thumbsupsmiley: Try helms deep, but don't do it until after you get elrond and dain, and try doing it with those two instead of eomer and aragorn.

Thanks Yoda. That's the way the non-linear campaign is supposed to work. You choose the make-up of the army that defends/attacks. It's like taking the scripted campaigns and you choose what happens. One reason why it takes forever to do :thumbsupsmiley: The linear is the one where you just experience the storyline as it's laid out.

Rob, would you mind posting up screens for what you're doing to the LWM (once you're done)?

Would you be dividing Mirkwood at all? If not then I definitely think that you could consider it because it would give the player to have more missions with the Mirkwood elves.

Then I rejoice.

By the way, I don't mean to sound demanding but Amon Hen's reghion is way too large then what it should be. You're probably already doing this, but could you please consider changing it to BFME 1 size?

It was too big because we couldn't change the world map, and we needed amon hen in game :thumbsupsmiley: Now that we can, I'm sure it will be changed.

Are my eyes kidding me or is Barad Dur going to be its own territory?! And even if not, still, was probably really hard to code and get that bit done. I think this breakthrough is going to directly benefit me (not to mention many others) once it becomes avaliable to the public. Thanks!

We're getting a private beta within a week...I expect two weeks at most after that, probably less.

Don't quote me on that though :thumbsupsmiley:
