What's the difference?

BFME 1: lots of stuff to code

BFME 2: even more stuff to code

:crazed:

Well there are some differences, but let's not get off topic. The point is, BOTH of us would like to be coders for this amazing mod :crazed:

You guys are nuts, this mod is basically a collection of several assets out there on the web for Star Wars, I'm really surprised it hasn't been done before. RobNKarla has all ready offered to help out with coding but once we get some more work done we'll have other members join the team, I feel steam powered over the work I've been putting in over the past few days, my main area is modelling and animation, coding is new and very foreign to me. But once we feel we have enough work done to warrant an application for hosting then we'll be open up to new members joining the modding team which at the moment consists of myself, Yoda & RobNKarla.

Currently I'm working on the Droideka animations, Rob is coding them in so we can have them fire from both the left and right guns. Tomorrow I hope to begin work on the SPHA-T, I have skinned it and mapped it, it needs some reworking to include Republic markings etc as well as animating.

On a lesser note, I'll also be plugging in the saber sounds tomorrow and hopefully get some powers done, they're all done just need to set up Command Buttons. I want to have all these superficial elements in to get the look and feel of the game right before we go in depth with changes on the code front.

If you guys have any ideas don't be afraid to share here, the outline is pretty much what we've discussed on Yodas post at the beginning of the thread but we are open to changes and ideas if it's going to better the mod

The normal BFME maps just do not fit, in my opinion...
Bit strange to kill wargs with several battalions of droids...

and they are too... bright(?)

Well in our defense we haven't exactly gotten around to making any custom maps as of yet, and as for bright, have you seen the prequel movies? In the movies they are just a bit dirty but they are equally as bright. I may change the clonetroopers to have a normal map all right though, the white is a bit too much I think, a normal map would give them a bit more definition. We'll change things down a shade if needed, plus because alot of these models are from outside sources I don't want to just randomly edit other peoples work, don't wanna be disrespectful to them.

mike's already placed dibs for Naboo maps, so he's probably ready to get working on them. :good:

That's okay, I expected something of the sort. Just remember, when you do start hiring new coders, me and Lurtz get first dibs. :p

Yes, I've seen them all :good:

But what i mean is that the normal BfME maps just seem too bright, because of the colours and all. Naboo wasn't as... yeah... bright as the fords of the Isen map, so to say.

Hopefully we'll get maps eventually, but the bfme ones are just placeholders.

Though we probably won't remove them anyway, because, well, what's the point? :good: You can play on the star wars maps if you want, or if you really love a certain map you can play there.

if someone would know how to add those tabs at ''Player made maps'' and ''the shipped maps'', you could add a new tab with Star Wars maps.

Perhaps someone here knows.

Or Just Title Each with a suffix like RJ Maps.... so out maps would read like the following

SW - Naboo (land)
SW - Naboo (Space)

Any map suggestions? So far I'm thinking Tatooine, Dantooine (Clone Wars (the original shorts :good: )) have convinced me to make it :p, Naboo (one swamp, one plains), and eh.. Hoth? :p

Yeah, I'm open to suggestions :p but Naboo will DEFINITELY get done first. As soon as I finish Arthedain, Tower Hills, and Narnian Coast II ;)

There's too many to count :good:

Felucia, Mygeeto, Ryloth, Coruscant, Utapau, Mustafar, Kashyyyk, Cato Nemoidia, etc etc :p

Khashyyk sounds fun. Mustafar... just use Mount Doom :good: Coruscant would need waaaaaay too many new building models. Don't recognize any others.

Well because we're concerned with the prequel era, probably none of the planets from the original stars will feature but if its been in prequels then you can go ahead, and Mike I can get buildings for Naboo, the city of Theed, and we can also do a separate under water map concerning the Gungan city if you like, don't mind doing some objects
