I heard someone mention the custom campaign, and they said there was actually going to be a whole Battle of the Last-Alliance in this. I was curious about this, and its gotten me excited to see that particular release. I had a few questions about it.

1.) Will the ground be crawling with troops? Meaning will you have to set up buildings and create your own men, or will you get a set amount of soldiers to use for the battle and hope you can win?

2.) Will Elendil, Isildur, Anarion, Gil-Galad and Elrond be created and skinned for this particular battle? *Most excited about this prospect*

3.) And finally, if the above question is answered yes, will Isildur have some custom skill to use against Sauron that'll make him cut the ring from his hand and win? >.>; Because if not, that battle could be really hard to win - Sauron has 15k hp normally.

'The Twilight of Man is nigh, and coming ever closer. The days have shortened into cold, forlorn darkness and sunrise to sundown is a bitter struggle for survival. But do not think for a moment that we shall not fight. We shall not go quietly into the dusk. We shall not throw down arms and flee, or surrender. We will go on, we will not falter. And even should we die, we shall make an end that will be remembered for thousands of years. For beautiful Arnor that is, for glorious Númenor that was! We are the Dúnedain, we are the Men of the North, and our foes will remember our steel!'

We are going strictly by the books for the campaign. So there will be a huge battle of Dagorlad followed by a siege mission of Barad Dur. There will be at least two LA missions, followed by five hobbit missions, then a slew of FOTR missions, then TTT missions and capped off with ROTK missions. They will be made by book. The campaign is the next big project as we have nearly all the factions working near their final and we can start working on the maps.

...you guys are killing me with suspense here...wow. I can't wait for this.

The Last-Alliance missions are what have me all worked up. The way it sounds, you guys wouldn't be far off from making a Last Alliance faction or something. XD

The models needed for the map are in the works. I am not part of that map so I don't know any more specifics but even then I wouldn't tell you everything got to keep some stuff a surprise. I am working on the riddles in the dark map for the Hobbit section. It will unlike most hero maps. Think maze.

Not quite true...that's only for the linear campaign. The nonlinaer campaign (which was actually the real focus of the mod :p) will be a blend of movies and books and you.

Are you sure he didn't mean like, doing it by the books? You know, making sure you guys do it right the first time? There are a few ways that saying could be taken, not necessarily meaning that its going to be 100% modeled after the books.

Would some of these missions feature Elven and Dwarven campaign events? Like the Battle of Dale, Seige of Erebor, the attacks on Lorien, and the Battle under the Trees in Mirkwood?

Yes, we are trying to cover all aspects of the war of the ring, including Battle of Dale, Siege of Erebor (Deaths of Brand and Dain), siege of Lothlorien, Fall of Dol Guldur, etc.

As for models, we are trying to do different skins, models for the campaign (including everyone needed for the Last Alliance, all 13 dwarves, etc.).

...oh man. You guys out do yourselves with every freaking post...I swear. How much better can this GET?

I honestly don't know. But slowly this mod is evolving into the BFME game that I've always wanted to play.

I unofficially dub this mod a non-shit, non-EA, 'Battle for Middle-earth 3 - The One You've Always Wanted To Play'.. Because thats definitely what this feels like. All this added content, the added factions and units, the buildings, the expanded content, the re-skins. And the maps, man, the maps!... Its wild, what the team has done with this mod. Kudos, guys. Can't wait to see the finished product, really, can't wait.

Will there be a handicap campaign mode? :xcahik_: My brothers are hopeless enemy handicap addicts. :good:

But seriously, I'm really looking forward to this new campaign. I can hardly wait to see what the new missions are going to be like... *shudders happily*

Oh :p Sorry for the stupid quastion than.

I have another quastion now. Its about Liner campaings and non-liner campaings.
So there would be Liner and Non-liner for Good, Liner and Non-liner for evil. And where would these campaings be setuated? In main manu(single player) or in war of the ring mode?

I know that the nonliner campaigns are not finished yet but I've already gave a try of good campaign. And I had a problem when I came to the battle for Rivendel the game crushed couse of some RJ goodRivendel.ini (can't remember the exect name of a file) And also the mission of Eves of Fangorn works but not every time I try to play it, sometimes the orcs are just killed by uruks, and the video doesn't end. Just wanted to report this.
Looking forward for the campeings :good:
