keep up the great wrk guys i 'm jus curious but where does the hero units fit in in the tech trees,like buster blitz duel freedom strike aegis..........,anyways glad 2 hear abt orb bein included cant wait for final product,keep up the great wrk

The thing with that is, the red frame, blue frame, green frame and I would assume purple frame were never fielded by ORB, and i'm trying to keep the sides loyal to the show, with some what if elements. (As you can see, you can build the Dom Trooper for ZAFT)


why not add them into a merchant spacedock like facility? every faction would have the ability to hire them at a price. you could hire serpent tail to help you in combat or other jobs (steal tech, steal cash, eliminate heroes, etc.)

While that's how it'll work in skirmish, GC is the one proving problamatic.

Honestly, I think I might just say screw it and do it the specific location way. No matter which way we try to implement it, it'll go against how those characters themselves operate.

Hmm, for Junk Guild, they travel around alot, and they do have bases everywhere. Hell, they even have their own Mass Driver down on earth, along with a Genesis Alpha.

Junk Guild for specific upgrades concerming production cost reduction at certain areas? that seems feasible, they wouldnt produce any militart units for you though. Just make them a second faction the same way Serpent Tail works, just they dont have units, and have upgrades instead.

Edit: I just saw the specific location part, so Genesis Alpla as a space station, that has fast travel to anywhere in space since that's what it's used for.

Giga Float on earth for space access.

Well, you see, the problem with that is, you should be able to drop down to earth from anywhere, but you can only get back in orbit from certain locations on earth. That's where the tricky part will be, I'd imagine.

Well, you see, the problem with that is, you should be able to drop down to earth from anywhere, but you can only get back in orbit from certain locations on earth. That's where the tricky part will be, I'd imagine.


Technically speaking, it is possible to get Mobile Suits into space from anywhere. It might not be quickly done, but it's possible.

Personally, I don't think we should even bother attempting to implement something like that. It just seems like too much hassle for something everyone is going to hate anyway.

Edit: I was thinking about it, and absolutely not, there's no way we're going to do it. The problems is units move via space lanes in EaW, so if you made it that certain locations can't get things up into space, they'll be permanetely stuck in that area.

I can do props and stuff in 3dsmax, so all we need is for billy to return once his personal shit is done and hopefully he'll brign a couple of models with him.

I seem to have missed the bulk of this discussion.

I only have one thing to add for now, cuse i just got back, my head hurts and i cant work out in my head how the 3 tech trees match up to each other.

Though, there is one thing, s. freedom has only one version. I know u got the idea from mahq, that there were 2 pictures each one supposedly showing a different version. But actually its just that when s. freedom 'docks' its rifles, usually to take out sabers, the rail guns are rotated to the back looking like tailcoats. The reason why u cant see the rail guns in the hipmounted rifles picture is that its actually a photoshopped concept art with the rifles shopped over the railguns.

I have an idea that might be able to save you the trouble of doing that, just set it so that all of the ground units instead of going up on mass driver or whatever just use a Booster Pack like Kira used in GSD when he used the Rouge to go save Lacus before he got the Strike Freedom, so yeah just make all the ground units have booster packs like that, and what the Minerva had when they went back into sapce, just make it appear on em, then fly away back into space, I personally think it's a better/easier idea.

and if you want to balance out the already Overpowered ORB you could always give em M.E.T.E.O.R.s, just a thought.

Well, it's make more sense logically, though I'm not sure how that works with game mechanics or in the seed universe in general.


Many of the battles that happened in Seed had to do with the ownership of Mass Drivers, Orb was invaded the first time around for that reason alone, It was also the same reason Zaft had such a large advantage on the Earth forces (I forgot their name, I do recall OMNI but still). Hell, even the Junk Guild had something related to that issue, since the Gigafloat was a goant moving isnald with a mass driver on it for pure civilian use.

you dou have a good point there, however I just thought it would be easier for em, anyway the EAF also wanted to take over morganrate (However you spell it) and I think you were thinking about the Atlantic Federation, still maybe when it gets to Destiny part of the story they could use my idea. :thumbsupsmiley:

Seems like alot of effort for little gain. Just let 'em go up and down, it's easier.

and mass driver locations should be high value locations which net you alot of money.
