So I think it's time I revealed the new faction for Lone Wolf Return of Shadow and Return of Dawn.

So Dunland will be replacing the Morgul faction and filling the 16th faction slot.

Dunland the land west of Rohan and North of Isengard has had a long history with the Rohirrim ever since the Eothed first settled in what was once called Calenardhon.
At that time the Dunlendings had homes in western Calenardhon which though part of Gondor was largely uninhabited.
When the first Rohirrim settled in what was now called Rohan they made war with the Dunlendings driving them out of the lands.
This the Dunlendings never forgot and over the years hostilities would flare up.

Over the years the population of Dunland migrated East into the Westfold and area near the Adorn and made homes.
The people of the area became of mixed blood making it difficult for the Rohirrim to drive off the Dunlendings.

The Dunlendings are descended from the people of Minhiriath who were driven off from their homelands by the Numenoreans.
In the Dunlendings lied a deep hatred of the Numenoreans and Rohirrim known as the Forgil (straw heads) in the Dunlending tongue.

The Dunlendings are different from a lot of the other Lone Wolf factions as they have almost no "Magic", their spells and abilities are based around buffs and debuffs.
Their units are fast moving light infantry.
Dunland will boast the fastest moving infantry in the game.

The Tech Tree can be found over at the Tech Tree index.

More news will be unveiled on Dunland as production continues.

I'm not giving them an Isengard Allies spell because Saruman was a horrible Ally.
He used their people to create the Uruks.

Dunland are the closest thing to a Neutral faction and it's how I think of them.
They weren't evil just at war against the "good".
They had justified reasons.
