So how about I try out the red forest of Rhun. Any lore, or is it just made up. I like the ideas that pop into my head when thinking about what a red forest looks like. So I will be working on that; ETA 4 months.

No lore for it.
It's essentially just a forest on the slopes of the Red Mountains in Far Rhun.
How literal you want to take the red part is up to you.
Because of the mountain name and it's location it's probable that the soil and rock is red so it's probably high in iron.
I had a crack at this one a while back but I couldn't really settle on the look of it so let's see how you go.

Yes there is lore for it:

"... elf-children in the deeps of time peering out of the Wild Wood in wonder at their first Dawn." TTT, Treebeard.

"On the western slopes of the Orocarni grew the Wild Wood, near a great waterfall of a river that flowed into the Inland Sea of Helcar where the bay of Cuiviénen lay, where the Elves woke." LotR Wikia, Orocarni

So I will take it as the land near where the elves awoke. It will be red, in sunset, autumn, and river bed rust.

This will be my reference picture:
