Severe lack of updates
Firstly, i want to apologize for lack of updates since the beta release. I've been busy with real life stuff, and while i was still working on the mod, i didn't have anything worth of a public news post (especially that i'm replacing most of the unit graphics). This will change now, as i'm finally getting to a point all this stuff is starting to look like finished, not WIP. And while this update will have no new unit graphics yet, i promise that from now on, i will try to do updates at least once a month. :p

Doom Desire Voxel Pack
Secondly, since i'm redoing most of the voxels in the game, i'm going to release those that i won't be using anymore. Most of the stuff was done by me, but there are also some voxels done by Rawlo for my mod, and one reedit of a voxel made by Martin Killer. I think at least some of them could find a use in some mod, so here's the download link.
You are free to use the stuff from the pack, as long as you give proper credits to the artists.

Art
Third thing, is some artwork. The paladin logo was done some time ago, but i forgot to show it to the public.

There is also a new style for vintarid units i will be using (this is also the reason why i'm releasing some of the current ones :p ). Of course, the final effect may differ, but you can see a taste of it on this artwork.

Lastly, since i'm redoing the unittem palette, i decided to try some voxel.vpl voodoo myself. I found that, apparently, once the game is able to see the ambient-blind part of the palette on the voxel, it is able to make full use of it. What does it mean? Click here to see!

I welcome. Nice stuff. Goodluck with the vpl edits. For me it took an entire half year to end up with a result I'm pleased with. ;) (and I still have to fix up the blues lol)

Since you use such organic shapes it might look good if you used SHPs for the units, even if you simply converted voxels to 3DS then to SHP it would still look much better than the voxel engine IMO.

I was thinking about it. Especially that i would be able to give them separate idle and fire animations. The only problem would be only 8 facings available. Not much of an issue for ground units, but on aircrafts it will be noticeable, so i'll try to make them as voxels unless necessary (and i consider fire/idle/walk anims on some of the spacecraft as necessary :p ).

AircraftType SHPs also doesn't work, so you're pretty screwed there.
