Any ideas for anims? Hwaldar anims from RotWK was my first thought, but they are quite jerky and unnatural. Maybe WildMen of Dunland anims? Those look great, extensive fluid and motion captured, but not sure if they'll fit with an axe though, that should be carried with two hands...

Yeah they do, but we could give him a torch like them, or something else... or just leave left hand empty off course. I don't think Aragorn's rather strict sword anims would fit this character

Basic body shape done. Boots and pants next... Think I'm gonna skip that home grown shirt. He looks more menacing without it, like when he's chopping wood in DoS - Extended Ed.

Glad you like it =) I agree on the design they gave him, and also, I'm not fully content with the choice of actor... but in a way, both grew on me now that I worked on the model, lol. What do you think about wildman anims btw? Any better ideas? Also, I'm thinking that Beorn should be a summon, not a fortress hero as this faction already have a roster of 8 fortress heroes. Or, be available only after a certain structure is built, like Beorn Hut or something...

I actually love the way PJ designed and casted Beorn in the movies Anyway, what does the Erebor hero roster look like? Because IMO Beorn really fits the faction as recruitable hero, since he helped Thorin's company and fought alongside the dwarves in BoFA. The "Beorn's Hut" option is a great idea I think. Like Treebeard is recruitable from the Entmoot.

Beorn doesn't live in a mere Hut. =p
I do have a large workload, but I could redesign a smaller building that fits better with the existing Dwarven faction. However, I will suggest that he is a map specific unit. Recruitable only at Beorn's House

That building is awesome but should defenitely be certain map only. But the caracter is far too cool to be limited to map choise. The bear form though, will be limited in use. If you could make a small "hut" based on that design, it would be great. If not, I'll probably reskin some lair =)
