To be fair, they gyro is actually weak for its pricetag and tech requirement.

what is exactly broke about foxtrots? (honest question) damage against structures? it is because they can kill labs?
I was so happy for soviet planes return that i'm foxtrot fanboy #1 btw

Their efficiency is way too big for 1.5tier unit. And yeah, that includes their way too high damage.

Foxtrots are very universal while also available on T1, unlike Allied jets which are available just as early but can't snipe buildings and groups of infantry with equal efficiency. Sure Harriers/Stormchilds/BEagles do plenty of damage to vehicles and OHKO infantry, but they don't have THAT splash damage nor they can kill labs or power in equal numbers with Foxtrots. Infantry plays a huge role at this stage of the game, and Foxtrots snipe it easily, not to mention it isn't fair when 4 of them keep your lab down. Sure Barracudas can do it too, except they are T3, fragile, slower, more expensive and can't do anything else.

I wish Radar Tower was back as T2 structure/radar, this would allow to make Airbase more expensive and move it up in tiers without making Soviets blind (I really dislike the radar change). Field Bureau could be a support structure (like Grinder) which would allow Drakuvs to spawn, and thus Radar Towers could FINALLY return to the campaign maps, replacing the Field Bureaus which look out of place there. If Field Bureau has been made a T2 structure just to ensure players will build it and won't skip its features, then I'm sure they will build it nonetheless, because Drakuvs worth it. But the price should obviously be made cheaper.

Field Bureau was made the T2 structure so that it's unique compared to other sides, not just to get rid of the Radar Tower which didn't have a single unique function.

Allied factions, PsiCorps and Russia in general are pretty much underused, in most of games I join I see mostly Epsilon HQ and sometimes SC. Foehn is also overplayed (I know the nerfs are comming).

Sometimes I see United States but it has been a long time since I have not seen anyone using Euro Alliance or Pacific Front either. 

The point of that is, allied factions underplayed as hell.

The thing about Foxtrots is that they are better in majority of situations when compared to other standard jets for Allies. I mean, when you look at them and Black Eagles, the only thing where they lose to BEs is speed (and only by one)! So either they get nerfed at their damage against buildings and a bit against vehicles, or either their cost increases or their other stats get reduced. Why are they so healthy? I like their role as a infantry blob killer, but I would gladly give up their strength versus structures. And sometimes they are wonky when trying to attack a target as they fly around it. It's kind of funny, when the proposed aircraft faction does not have the best jet..

I hate to say this... but Tesla Tanks need to be in huge numbers because they are weaker T3 tanks that are no match for most(if not all) other T3 tanks in a 1 on 1.

And did you say they are good against defenses? Which kind of defenses are you referring to? Also, they hate static defenses, same case with wolfhounds...

By the way... the smoke-related stuff are supposed to be a -50% attack debuff complement, not something meant to be on its own.

 

Erm, not in the size I expirence. Try 500 wolfhounds and 292 telsa tanks swarming your base.

-50% attack debuff? Man, that's one hellva defective debuff if it does nothing against a telsa infantry swarm.

 

Dustdevil is a bit of too expensive for something that basically only debuff stuff, imo

1. If you complain about SUPPORT buildings/units dealing no damage... Are you a RA2 multiplayer veteran by any chance?

 

2. Iron Guard underused? I see those in every single game against soviets when superweapons are on. But hey, structure making your tanks in area invulnerable is pretty meh, amirite?

 

3. You complain about Dustdevils because they broke your Airpad unit symmetry, oke.

 

4. Foxtrots are NOT ballanced.

 

5. China and "Noone plays it". I know at least 12 players who would prove you otherwise. Also, Gyro's main power is splash damage and better anti-air damage.

 

6. You do realize that Tesla Cruisers do jack shit against buildings?

 

7. Issue of wolfhound spam being broken was fixed even back in 3.0 by players actually making anti-air units. Hell, even in 3.3 they got nerfs against defenses.

 

1. Nope. I'm a TS XWIS veteran. Have been ever since XWIS became a thing for TS. I'm actually more of a TS veteran than I am RA2. I've been playing TS for 'bout... err... try 13 years and six months. That's about my entire lifespan minus 6 months. You can blame dad for that, because he used to sit me on his lap and make me watch his multiplayer skirmishes with my brother or against other people. Even then, I'm really only a singleplayer match up, I suck against anything harder than easy AI, must always have canon fodder AI(or I just get crushed because I'm slow and I like to focus on building rather than my own army), and maybe, over the combine total of all my multiplayer matches, probably have 50 hours or so. Like I said, I'm nowhere NEAR a multiplayer veteran.

 

2. Never seen them in action by other players. Then again, like I said, I was only ever in 3 matches, each around 2 hours long.

 

3. Yeah it sucked. I have this wierd thing where I get these random bouts of OCD, and that was one of those moments.

 

4. A)You misspelled balanced. B)They are... if they were T2, or more than likely T3.

Tesla cruiser is neither weak or OP. But it is truely overused. I never seen a Russian blob without them. Yeah it does jack shit vs buildings but Russia have SCUD for a reason. And that one is a nasty building killer.
Even after you get stolen techs like Apocalypse or Iron Dragon they are still necessary. The EMP effect is too good to ignore.

Gyrocopter stat is fine but certainly it's way too expensive.
As for the Foxtrox, why the hell does Soviet which is a tank faction have a better jet than all the ones Allied have? They are the air faction, so why?

What are you talking about? RA2's korea is pretty damn underpowered. The only good thing that came out of them is a Black Eagle, which is pretty bad. I understand that they have a much better payload, but the payload is too small. Also the armor is better but thats not the problem. It's the payload size.

Overused: MADMAN + Chronosphere combo in team games. Unless the opposing team has Allied tech and Chrono Legionnaires or Chinese EMP, the receiving player will suffer great damage with no options to prevent or counter it, his infrastructure will be seriously damaged and it will take ages to recover for him (assuming the blast haven't killed the only MCV and its prerequisites). In 3v3 if HHead's allies are Soviets and Allies it is possible to use Iron Curtain on that thing after chronoshift, and then even Legionnaires won't stop the destruction.

Oh yeah, and the resulting super-superweapon has a cooldown of 07:00 while also brings much more destruction than a regular offensive SW does, for a price of mere $3000. Sure one could chronoshift demo trucks before and wipe out a good chunk of enemy's base, but it was more costly and less destructive. MADMAN should not be chronoshiftable, it is just BS.

If anything, Korea was one of the most OP factions in vanilla multiplayer. Everyone expects them to build jets so people start building AA to counter it, only to get tank rushed.
