I use just about any China or USA... In my version Flame and Cybr are favorites, In the original contra Air usa is my favorite.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

what about GLA. most people underestimate the power of GLA (except stealth, it just plain sucks). the scud is awesome.

No way, of all the GLA, stealth is my favorite. dispite the obvius weaknesses they have some awsome strengths, especialy with the lack of detector units in the current version of contra.

you can't mount a strieght offensive, but you can cripple an enemy if you are carful and work around his defenses

I think the second round of suggestions s much more useful, it tells WHY things should be changed... I can agree with some points... ones I think are good...

-the GLA demo should have a sucide plane (propeller driven) instead of that stupid guy sitting on the rocket.
well it just look a bit out of place. not much a problem but looks a bit out of place.

-About super weapons carpet bombing. can the third bomber be only available in the 5th level. having that option at the third lvl is just too strong.

-the snipers of us should not have the ability to disaable vehicals.
because the enemy cant even come close to the base now if you have snipers garrasioned. atlest lower the time the vehical is disabled for.

--I don't think they should be helpless against tanks in all casses, but not all snipers have .50 cal Anti tank guns. Maybe be able to do some damage to tanks, but disable is a little much I think.


Things I firmly disagree with...

-the US (all factions) should have the raptor (non stealth)
sometimes the raptor came to be really handy and i really miss it during the game.

--not all USA should be the same. my solution was to Add the A-10, it did nicely for filling that role.

-Why was the carpet bombing option removed from Air force Gen. it is one of its primary power.

-- Air USA got enough new toys they don't need the carpet bombing anymore. everthing being stealth is pretty scary already, and they have the buildable Carptet Bomber.

the laser generals should get the blue and green lasers as power during the promotion at level 3 and not as an upgrade at the partical cannon. or those upgrades can be purchased at the stategy center after lvl 3. getting them at lvl 5 is too long.

--Those upgrades are a big deal, they should not be cheap or easy.

about the air force. i forgot that he could build the b2 bombers. i just used 10 of those on an enemy base. pretty awesome. ;)

thats pretty true, but it also gives it improved staying power when not attacking bases. against ground troops in open ground fireing the missles seperate lets it attack 2wice as many targets... I think there is some merit in hwat you're saying though... maybe drop them fast, but have a fairly large scatter so they don't both hit the same spot... I'll look into it for my version.

I've got an idea :rolleyes:.Two mods on the mig, a defend one(that fires one bomb at a time) and a bombardment (spell sux) that fires all the missiles at once :grin: .can you do it??

the thing is that if there are any anti air units along with the attack then the MIGs get shot down a lot. the MIG was a good protection against artillery units especially with the fire storm that they create. but if there are anti air units along with the artillery attack then the MIGs get shot down and the artillery keeps chewing away at the defences. my only choice is to use tanks as defence.

migs are not only bombers they are fighters as well :rolleyes: .But i dont know how much good fighters they are

Have you even seen a nuke MIG take out air to air units. in 0.02 i was playing against airforce and one MIG took out 3 raptors but it the process it also blew itself up (Kamikaze style :rolleyes: ). during an attack run if you don't have a good approach toward the target then the nuke MIGs more often then not blows its self up too especially targets that are located on higher ground like the defence of super weapon general in the challenge mode.

Are you sure they attack air? I don't think they are supposed to.

I've been looking at the Migs and am making most of the migs drop the 2 warheads back to back with a scattered warhead. Nuke China Migs will still be delayed.... the nuke bomb is way to scary to drop 2 at once.

Yes, in 002 they could attack air units. It was fixed in 003.

go to the my control ---> edit signature -----> use img option to add a pic as signature (note the image should already be on the net. you cant upload it like the avatar)
