chrono tower does not work on heroes... (would make heroes more pointless) ,you have to use bombers/tanks and stuff to stop him.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

wel i have some time to look at this and one of two items
1, chrono tower work on heroes
2, chrono tower do not attack heroes if thay can not kill them?

Glitches. Bad ones. I have no idea why this is happening, but twice when I have played a skirmish with multiple teams (1 Nexus, 1 Ally, 1 Soviet) the Soviet base blows up.

First time it said that team was defeated, then I saw a gunner running towards and enemy base (LOL). Second time, I was attacking the power plants with 2 Zephyr drones (I was testing them), then when I blew up one after knocking out the power, the whole base exploded.

Amusing, and makes me go "ok!", but still a bad glitch. (They were sieging me seemingly endlessly anyway early in the game. They deserved it, lol.)
Second glitch, once again with the Soviets. When I played as the Allied Legion, I had defenses, and units guarding the main/only entrance to my base, yet I watched 2 crazy Ivans get in, and continue going. I had to get my infantry to handle them.

This happened again during the match where I was Nexus, a soviet base was near, Allied base on the other side of the map, and the other Nexus team was in the north (Hammer and Sickle map). I am aware it's a beta, so it's just something to tell you guys about, rather than complain.

Good news: the mod is awesome. Nexus is everything I ever hoped out of a futuristic game with robots! :p

smilie Joy. Siege Walkers - NICE. All I could build + 4 repair drones, and of course the Robot Factory let me totally pwn the other Nexus base.

Thanks for such a great mod. I cannot wait for campaigns (Hint: you guy should include some... maybe even one where you can play as Nexus). Good day. -F1-

I would presume you played on easy difficulty, which has severe limits on the AI thus when it loses power and lacks money it decides surrender or blow up itself most likely.

ivan/demo units bug Is known I accidentally put it in :p

Actually, they were on Medium both times, but I was assuming they gave up.

I mean, in Tiberian Sun, when they give up, they blow up too. But it's still a bit nuts to blow yourself up after loosing power, lol, unless utterly helpless. Then you take some enemies with you.

Anyway, about the Ivan bug: can't wait for it to be removed.

Oh, while I am here, before I finish typing, what is/where can I get the title screen music for Robot Storm. Very nice.
Well, good day. -F1-

"mod atm" - sorry but what is atm? Acronym, or part of the song name?

Anyway. Not the right place to post this, MAYBE, but me and my friend wanted to try the Allied campaigns, once we discovered you could play them, they just use new units, but when that began, when it'd show the Psychic Dominator, it went ape shit and quit.

No surprise, but it did the same mid-way through the Soviet fitst level as well - also no surprise. Would've been fun as hell though.

We need RS campaigns, stat please :)!
Good day. -F1-

Any news for campaigns, like scripters or something? If not, oh well. Just make a site postor soething when progress is made, please. However, I did not come here to discuss the campaigns.

First: played as the Freedom League recently. 5 level 3 Kirov Gunships are brutal as HELL. omg I fucking pwn3d a complete Nexus base with those!! I LOVE the units in this game that shoot things as they go by them. The Kirov Gunships are better at that than SIEGE WALKERS! And I love mah Siege Walkers. Spider legged robots are awesome. :) Which is why I like the Cyborg Reaper in TS.

Second: Volkov. ;) An enemy Volkov came to my base, waltz passed the 3 RAD Canons set, with the Hellfire Canon behind it, blew the Hellfire up, then blew up 2 of my power plants! X_X Never knew he was that powerful. I knew the description said he was, but i figured that was advertising - I mean, hero units are normally a bit weak compared to their prices. But wow. I used Decimator tanks on him.

Third: A friend of mine is wondering if perhaps the Freedom League bases were designed to blow up, if say, all their normal power plants were destroyed, accept the large one that spews radiation everywhere, thus overloading that one, causing the entire base to blow. Could that be the reason for the blow up thing if they loose too much power plants? Was it designed that way? If not, you have an excuse now :p . Didn't happen to me though, because I didn't build one of those large ones, nor lost power.

Fourth (and last!): Robot Storm online. Apparently the Westwood servers just think of it as another version of Yuri's Revenge (and in a sense, I suppose it is). Very fun to play online. I just think it'd be hillarious to see someone's reaction though, seeing you prefer Nexus "Uh... wtf is Nexus????" - a non RS player. Inform me of some RS players who go online if you can please. ... Ones that don't rush you though. Anyway, RS online is fun with him - though it also could be because he is better than the computer AI (which is DAMN hard with the AI mod though. Brutal now lives up to it's name!).

Alright! That was a long read! Sorry about that, I just love this mod. 9 out of 10 stars at least. Once campaigns get in there... oh man, that'll be it, and I'll be hooked forever.
Good game guys. Keep it comming. Good day. -F1-

EDIT: Sorry, something I need to add. I read somewhere else in the forum that the Bomb Jeeps zoom by defenses. They still do. Having 5 sent at your base HURTS. Nobody even tries to shoot those! The demolition trucks do the same.

This needs edited. At least make the explosions weaker X_X.

no results for scripters i'm afraid.. look like i have to try that myself but i don't have high hopes since its something I don't master but we'll see ;)

at worst I can edit a few WW's missions to act like RS ones to give some mission taste at least

besides all damn, i hadn't noticed this post... except now... ;)

anyways you do raise good points and thanks for telling me ^_^

as for freedom bases blowing up intentional..no it wasn't or for any AI..it just seems to happen since i put severe money limits on them so they decide blow themselves up in lower difficulties in lacking money situation...I don't see it as that big issue however.

and lastly I'm aware of the bomb jeeps and other suicide things, that's all my fault and be assured I have it fixed for coming version which also adds more blood effects on top the existing ones ;)

as for online games..well i do play 'em sometimes and comrade jerkov and there are others but i can't say much for them myself.

IN FACT, are there enough people interested for organised RS online games!?
and if the reception is low...well add me on msn and i'll play you

(My account won't work in this forum anymore for some reason.) RS online is quite fun, as long as people don't rush, lol. Me and a friend of mine play it often. However, we cannot get past lag issues often. Me hosting a game rather than him worked out well, but I lagged more than he did (probably machine lag though). MSN is teenroomboy@hotmail.com (name is an old nickname).
I saw on another topic people pressuring you about removing the self-heal thing with Nexus. Hell no. Everything being self-reparing with nexus is one of the great things about them! You never have to worry about damage done by crashing planes your defences destroy. Your base repairs itself (I LOVE that, especally how all teams do it) and your units will repair any of that damage as well. Planes crash into bases a lot too... that or Manta Bombers  . I like to keep those away from me base so they get blown rather quickly anyway.
Anyway, one thing that bothers me: if you tell a unit to go into the Machine Shop (yey for Grinder) and they are a bit far, they will stop in front of it. Then you have to command them again. Maybe that is an old glitch from Yuri, but if not, that'd be a great fix. Either then that, the suicide units glitch, when it is fixed, will be a very nice fix, lol.
You've got a GREAT mod going. Once it gets campaigns, "All hail the best RA2 mod". Will there be campaigns for all sides? Or the normal Allies and Soviets campaigns deal? I can imagine the Allied misions: Protect this area, rid Nexus pf this area, Defend Base, yada yada, since they were forced into hiding by the Nexus, but what about the soviet team? Are they just going to take advantage of the situation and attack the weakened Allied Legion, or will Nexus target them as well?
Well that's all. Good day. -F1-

(For some reason, I only have permission to post here.) Sorry for 2 posts in one day, but I read more of the forum. No more weakening any Nexus units. Then the other teams will trample Nexus, and then the Nexus driving the Allies into bubls to flee from Nexus would make little sense. Weakening the Seige Walker isn't good either. The Freedom League's power unit, for example, is incredibly poweful (that and Seige Walker just sounds powerful). You can already destroy the core to make them go offline, and that's enough (4 or more Manta Bombers work nicely against the core anyway).

Someone brought up a good point: the AI does tend to Air Rush, if it doesn't tank rush, very early in the game X_X. Early game bombings from hell.

Also, I watched the friend of mine who has the mod play a skirmish with Super Weapons. Twice they all targetted him. 2 Seperate rounds, 2 seperate pwnz from t3h sky. Is it random whoever they attack, or were they programmed to attack one at a time? I know I haven't touched Super Weapons after seeing that  . Well good day. -F1-

EDIT: Typos.

I think the AI does that anyway, even on YR. Try teaming up with 3 AIs and yourself against 4 with sups...they will throw them all at you first.

I see your point about NEXUS actually. I wonder if now he should actually be beefed UP a little bit, since he's losing badly to Allies. That, and the odd Allied weapon turned down. NEXUS kinda gets stomped now, whereas Allied are a much tougher proposition.

thanks for the concerns but in fact I'm not degrading nexus at all nor do I plan to, as few ppl opinion would differ unless they would convince me feel same way i would change but mainly I play it myself and If I feel its not right despite others say otherway, I do it as I see fit...

main concern is the basic nexus unit heal=it is not good enough yet so without nex tech building he is at worser edge as for that enter bug, I don't see why that would happen but thanks for notice.

as for double posts, well i'm okay with it since you dont spam non-sense and i am the forum moderator, as for why you cant post elsewhere..thats rather odd...

the air rushes are reduced down as extra airports have been removed but still don't ignore AA... :D

the AI superweapon tendancies...it is customary to the game that the AI picks one player as main goal while other can be at considerable less risk so if I wanted to I wouldn't know a way to turn this around anyway.

and in a way I have been rethinking if the core dependancy on crawler is that good idea...
