Thes reason why everything looks so bright and happy in BFME is cause there a serious light filter on a daytime map, floods out medium and light areas and brightens up dark ones. Either make the maps other times of day or darken your skins. I noticed that myself.

it also adds annoying "shine" and "glow" to the textures, im starting to think im gonna make me a "isendgard rain" spell ready to get the correct mood, still, is there any way to actually add weather to a map without reinventing the wheel? didnt try much with worldbuilder,

and editing the pixel/vertex shaders doing the brigthening is impossible, since someone at EA was clever enough to add the fully compiled shaders and not the precompiled ones to teh big files .)

oh, that reminds me, this light shader also does bad things if u have a texture with specular enabled

Yeah it totally floods the skin with an annoying bright white overtone. Once again I've not solved that without offestting the contrast in the skin or changing time of day in the map.

Wow amazing!

The gatehouse looks perfect to me.

Now if you can do the same roof for the other towers i'll pee in my pant of admiration

Well apart the towers, everything is really great.

I can't wait you release them or a mod with them so we can see it live ;)

I'm learning how to use GMAX and 3d studio MAX, I hope I get as good as you in time. That stuff is really sweet. Windows.. makes it kinda look like a caslte :) lol I don't have time to read the whole thread, but if you make the skins your superb at skinning too. Are you part of any mods, dude? The gates wood skin especially looks fantastic.. lol

nope sadly, my skill with textures resorts to command ppl to find me a good one :D
It works :) New textures are comming soon, since i obviously dont release a mod that uses textures from like 40 different games :)

I am atm remoddling the towers and adding damage state models... :)

You could always change the mordor base layout to include wall sections ;) (like I've been doing cunningly behind Sauron's back, lol)
