We are, all of us gravely concerned, but there is no need to panic. In truth, this is a time to rejoice, a moment that all the covenant should savour, for the sacred icon has been found! With it our path is clear, our entry into the divine beyond guaranteed. The great journey is nigh, and nothing, not even EA, can stop it.

err... by that I mean i've found something that may just make it possible for me to make my scratch built AI work... i'll keep you all posted...


If all goes well i will have a reason to reinstall generals ZH.

ok, things are looking hopeful. I've got the AI working again, and it's attacking properly! It's quite good too:P

I'm building it from scratch, so it may take some time :p

I dont expect a really smart behavior..I just want it to pump loadza of units and throw it at me!!! :p

why are you building it from scratch?

You can simply salvage zero hour ones. you got 12 options to use. pick the side that has the closes properties to the mod sides and modify those.

I'm building it from scratch because our mod has a very different tempo to most other mods and the original zh...

We don't use the standard resource system.
Our major units are infantry, and tanks cost vast sums as do upgrades (which are few in number).
Certain units are locked off until you reach a certain tech level.
The superweapons are generals powers and a vehicle for the cadians.
Our infantry are built as squads (of differing units) that use an ocl. The AI can't handle these, at least not the standard one because no unit in Zh uses that system.
The orig Zh AI is quite stupid too :rolleyes:.

I know I could have modified another AI, but I decided it'd be easier to build one myself, then I'd know exactly what everything was for, where it was, what teams and scripts did what.. .etc. Makes bug fixing easier.

"Easier to build one myself"? Now those are some words I never thought would be heard. Anyway, good luck, it sounds like OW 2.0 will be better than 1.0 tenfold!

actually it is easier to make an AI from scratch for total conversion. And its fun too. as a single person it gives you the satisfaction that you can do a better job then a multi-billion dollar comapny. XD
