that idea does make sense

The imperial date system operates on a metric system where the year is split into thousandths, so we could have time tick by in them units. That's digits 2,3 and 4... digits 5, 6 and 7 are the number of years, which would increase properly, and we finish with .M##

First digit is a check, referring to where things are taking place, which we need to decide on...

Now it's 0611006.M03

not exactly like that cal, if the date code were 150935M32 so it would be day 150, year 935, Millenia 32 (checked the old main rule book, page 269)

i thought they had a metric date... hmm.. got it from a little program I downloaded that converts dates:P
