It seems that most people are thinking the catapult target buildings instead of troops which really isn;t fair to Mordor. Maybe the catapults should also have some target priorities? Trebuchets>archers/rangers>heroes>infantry>buildings?

Might make it fairer

^^If some were set to throwing skeletons on your men that would be nice. :p But not fireballs, that would be too hard.

and your men running away, scaring like hell, wouldn't? :p it would be okay though, if they fired it into the city, but it should rather do something with the men, instead of scaring them... like, decreasing their armor\attack....

I wouldn't mind seeing them fire the skulls with the first barrage, then they switch and do damage, like in the movies. Then Gothmog can say his famous line 'Fear! The city is rank with it. Let us ease their pain...' and so on.

No need. All your units will be rank 2 by this level so skeletons will have no effect except the slightest damage. :)

I'm quite certain that at least some catapults fire skulls around the first wave... I know I've had it happen to me (particularly on the south wall) a couple times. I'll look into having it happen just a little more for asthetics.

Yes, some catapults fire skulls, but most of them fires stones and destroy the buildings in the city, which is logical IMO - Whichking and Gothomg knew that city has few defenders and evoking panic will completely disorganise defence.

I might be wrong, but Evil Campaign Minas Tirith mission has a moment during attacking city when loads of civilian people run out from buildings in panic. Maybe add something like that to the Good Campaign?

Yeah. They give you money chests when you kill them (if I remember correctly).

Awesome. I never had gotten round to finishing the Evil campaign, so that's definately something to look forward to.

I'm not sure but what I remember, when your orcs break through the gate and start destroying city some people run out in panic. But I won Evil Campaign like 1,5 year ago so I might be wrong.

hmm,

i am at osgiliath right now on easy.
and you are scaring my .... out of my ..... :)
i lost my elves of rohan at helm's deep because my heroes stood in front of the wall and an archer fired a fire arrow at one of their mines :p all of my heroes dead except aragorn. but he had no long life expectancy left. 2 minutes after that he died. 5 rams attacked my front gate. 6 elven battalions died trying to hold the gate. and meanwhile i was trying to hold them of my wall with my forces left.

and now you are trying to tell me that the mordor forces are 5 times as larger than normal??????? Grond is indestructable???(small story: i always destroyed Grond with knights and when rohan arrived i repaired the gate with peasants)

HOW THE ...... AM I GOING TO MAKE IT??? ;)

Well actually, the version of Helm's Deep in the current version of the mod was made too difficult by accident. The next version will have a much less... disturbingly difficult version (looking at the ladders in particular).

aah well,

i think it doesn't actually matter, it was fun though. sometimes a bit laggy but that's because of my processor. the only thing in this mod which i don't actually like is that you can't use an elven army in the campaign. perhaps something for next version??

about helm's deep.
just a few less ladders. that's all what is needed to make it a good map

p.s.
your mod ruless man :spam:
