Hmm, it's weird, I put all the files in the GameData folder, and when I launch it, it goes to the loading screen, then it has an exception error.

yeah i have that problem too ever since i needed to reboot my computer

Can you get me a discription of the error or a screenshot? An Exception error a pritty generic thing.

the exception thing says:
An exception has occurred. See _logfile.txt and _except.txt for details.
Press cancel to exit or retry to debug
no matter what i do this happens could i forgot how i got it to work before so i'm stuck

oh also when i looked at the exception thing it classifies this mod as a unknown code pointer

how did you put the files in your game?
maybe i could work for mine too.

also i forgot last time i couldn't get the sound effects to work.

I merged all you posts into one, try to just make one post and avoid multiposting. If there is something you want to add use the edit button on your post.

Now for the error, which way did you install the mod? Did you put the files in the Steves Ewok mod folder and run the batch file? or did you just extract the mod to the gamedata\ folder?

Nevermind, I don't know what was wrong, but I just un, and reinstalled the game and put the data folder in the right area and it worked, I don't know what I did wrong, but I'm just glad it worked. I tried the alpha, and it was awesome, do you guys plan on releasing a beta anytime soon with more units? :dry:

lets see, i put certain files in certain areas in the data folder cause it doesn't work when i just put the file in the gamedata file. then i launch the game, and after i reach the game menu, i placed a copy of the xml file in the data file to mod it.

Yep, just FYI there has been some errors with running the map editor. For some reason the map editor deletes the odd file, but that only happens when its in the game data folder.

I just uninstalled, and made sure to not keep the folder perameters or whatever, whenever you uninstall it, it asks if you want to keep the save files and stuff, I clicked no on both, reinstalled it, and put the data folder in GameData just like the instructions said, and for some reason it worked, I think I might have had another mod installed at the time, which probably would've caused it to crash.

how did you guys put it in. like did you put it in after you launch the game. or did you put it in bdfore installing the game or did you put it in before launching the game.

after install/before launch.

just copy and paste all the stuff into your gamedata folder.

i.e. D:\program files\lucasarts\gamedata

What you guys could try doing is to make a folder called Mods inside gamedata, then go download the petrolauncher mod ultility from www.eaefiles.com

there shouldn't be any problems that way, and you wont have to overwrite anything either.

do i just go to Empire-At-War-Game Data-Mods then create a folder called Gundam legacy betatest and then put the included Data file into the new folder or put the files in the main data folder, erasing old game?
