It's for BFME 1, not BFME II or ROTWK.

Ok I downloaded it but I can't play Skirmish. I tried reinstalling first the mod. That didn't help, so I tried reinstalling the whole game. Still doesn't work. The thing is, skirmish mode works on the other mods I have, as well as the original game itself. What could be wrong? It goes to a wierd screen with two options, "debug break" or "ok". I clicked on "debug break" be cause it was not "ok". Didn't do anything.
Also I want to tell you that this is my favorite mod ever. Not because of the colors or Saruman or Khamul, but because of the changes to the Witchking. If there's no way I can fix this mod, I've been wondering, if it's not to difficult for a great modder like you, could you upload a quick mod with just the Witchking changed? Like your other mini-mods, but for the Witchking. Again, I know almost nothing about modding, so I apologize if I'm asking for the impossible.

It is a bug caused by new factions, as the game is looking for a non-existing faction from another mod, as the previously used faction is stored in the game settings.

Load up using another mod, and start up a map only involving the original factions (Mordor, Isengard, Gondor, Rohan). Quit the map then the game, and try it again using SoE.

Do I use another mod with only the four original factions? Or do I use the original game itself?
Or do I start a game using a mod with custom sides, but play a map using only the four original factions? (Like I use Elven Alliance but play wihtout using the Elven faction.)

play a game of TEA... (Elven Alliance)
Don't play as elves, but one of the standard factions :thumbsdownsmiley:
Then, when your done (or, you can quit the match as soon as your starting :p), you can load up this mod..

not the options.ini...

the skirmish.ini, and PLAYERNAMEskirmish.ini :thumbsdownsmiley:
Then you will lose your in-game data though :p (factions ranks, stats, ect..)

Sorry for the late response. Did that error occur when you were installing the mod or when you first tried to play the mod?

I've never actually seen that error before... so I'm not sure what to tell you.

Got to report a bug concerning shadows of evil:
When swichting between the Witch-King on foot and on his Fellbeast he becomes fully regenerated. By doing this very fast you can make him invincible.

Yes, I'm aware of it :(

Unfortunately it's a design flaw in the WK's mount system, at the time when the mod was created I didn't know how to get around the problem so I left it in, but now I do know how to fix it. And I'm pretty sure that it has been fixed in my Kings of the West mod but I never went back and applied it to Shadows of Evil. I might do that at some point soon though since it is an unfair advantage to the Mordor player.

Thanks for pointing it out

Could you possibly incorporate the Minas Morgul map into your next Shadows of Evil update? It would Make Minas Morgul seem even more evil with the new Mordor upgrades. I'm sure many of us would greatly appreciate it. Yours truly- Yarrum

I will look at it and see if it would be possible for me to do so. I don't promise anything but if it is easy enough, then yes I can do that since I'll be updating the mod anyway. It'll probably happen sometime next week as I will be on break and have a bit more free time.

Hullo. Kings of the West is still going, yes?

Bringing to your attention about Shadows of Evil-

- Witch-King's Morgul Blade power has no animation or anything, and rather sucks.

- Witch-King's This Is My Hour power does not work.

- Witch-King regains all life when he toggles between Mounted and On Foot.

- Khamul is too slow and weak to be a good, serviceable hero.

- Saruman should start off at Lvl.5 or less, so that you can earn the powers. It sucks when he's already leveled up.

Your mod is made of awesome. Keep going.

Did you do something to your copy of the game? "This is my Hour" works in my copy. There are some codes that you can easily edit at the end of the Witch King's INI file which let you specify which level he spawns in at. About regaining full health when toggling, GTO fixed this in KOTW, but never bothered to update Shadows of Evil. As for the other things, I don't really know what to say, but I have noticed that Morgul Blade doesn't really do anything. Hope this helps- Yarrum
