Nope.. I find it never builds overtop of each other after the first 30sec. Never had that happen.

That's strange... Cos I swear that it builds into buildings even after 30 secs for me... I have 1.6 installed.

How often does it happen and at what points during a game? Does it happen even after 30mins of play? It shouldn't. Guess I need to test it but no matter what: doubt there is a fix since its hardcode and not supported. :( However, we'll get the SDK and work things out. Its all open concept right now. :p

Still no excuse to NOT have had em out available for editing @ day 1 of launch. They should have been of "modular design" with the game code. Makes me concerned a little how they will be edited once the SDK shows up real soon. I'm hoping it will be easy to integrate heavily modified C&C3 AI for the public to use when we release its far BETTER variant.


It's because modders only make up an extremely small part of the market, and it's one that they really don't need to cater for; the cost of mucking about dealing out an SDK and all the extra PR probably actually loses them money compared to the sales they make back.

It happens alot, with all structures, though rarely with tech structures which it hasn't built yet.

30 minutes? I thought you were saying 30 seconds?

Ahh yes well, I can't wait until you start editing. I'll be your #1 fan!

Hmmm.. I'll have to re-experiment. As for being my #1 fan.. I'm hoping a team of C&C3 AI coders will be in attendance. I'm just one small piece of a larger endeavor to do what paid devs generally do not.

I'm glad C&C3 expansion is coming AND they are deciding to release an SDK. Not bad since its been almost 5months since C&C3 released. Hell.. would have been nice to have a bloody SDK for Dawn of War <grumble> and we're coming up to 3 years next month since the original was launched.

Anyway, having the acknowledgment of an expansion in the next months is a good move.. add more units, general content, new functionality..

Hoping to quickly identify all the C&C3 elements the AI will need to know. My main concern is how it conducts its economy and building placements. Military-wise.. that will come soon afterwards but if an AI cannot properly take care of its startpoint and income then whats the point?

Quick Update..

I retried my ALL-AI battles .big hack in 1.08 and WOW.. it works even better and faster than older game versions. Game now runs waaaaaaaayyy too fast and I get no issues with the AI building overtop any of mine (or at least late game) so clue if anyone else is experiencing this.

So the speed/unlocked framerate/zoom/All-AI hack works superbly with 1.08. I still cannot get the camera to zoom out too far but the zoom-in works too well.. (goes underneath terrain). Har har.

Err.. this is an AI mod, d00d. Not a balance one but yer right.. that was an interesting move on EA's part. I kinda don't have a problem with it since it prevents mass spamming of defenses and lessens turtling.
