Welcome everyone! I hope you had a good April and hope your May will be even better. It's getting to that time of year that we are having exams and tests, so hopefully this batch of news will make your days a little less stressful with 2 (if you are lucky, 3) new betas! Also, please post in topic of this update so we can know how many of you are reading these.

  • The Four Ages
After awhile, it seemed that The Four Ages was either canceled or on hiatus, but there is good news! Morgoth946 has released a beta! Here's what Morgoth946 himself says:

For those who don't know, The Four Ages is a total conversion for BFME 2 based on the first age, on the book of the Silmarilion.
Now you only can play with Angband against Men, Elves and Dwarves but I'll change it asap.
Each faction has minifactions (only Angband has them in this beta anyway) and you can build very powerful units that will help you in the battle.
Also I've made a system (based with morgoth's(not me) one in the epic mt map) where you can incline the camera.
Finally, I made big walls for Angband where units and catapults can walk on them.

  • The Last Alliance
The Last Alliance mod has put up a new website which you can visit, and which has the overview of the storyline for the mod on it. Note: many links aren't working (as of this mod update).
  • Wars of the East
As stated in older updates, the Wars of the East is releasing a private beta. This new beta comes out tomorrow (April 30th), so if you are reading this, sign up fast!
Thats all for today's update, but remember: we are asking that you please post in the topic of this update so we know how many of you are reading this. A simple "Thanks for the update" or "Nice update" or even "I didn't like this update" will do. :sad2:

See you on the forums and next week!

nice.

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides
By the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will,
Shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness,
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger
Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

I keep track of the hosted mods myself, so alot of this old news to me, but I still look forward to seeing everything... Let's just hope that I can finish my rigging and such in time for the next one...

I read it. Only stumbled across this site last update, and I am very leery of modifying my precious Battle for Middle-Earth games, so I won't be downloading any mods until they are fully finished and all bugs are sorted out.

As long as the mods use the -mod command, the BFME Program Files do not get touched at all therefore it is completely safe to use mods.

Very few mods, such as ElvenStar, modify the program files. So all you need to know before downloading is whether it's a -mod command or not.

Edit - you know I read them

as 2PG said, we reserve this privilege to our hostees. However, feel free to register your mod on the site, and we may give it its moment of fame if we like what we see ;)
