Go outside or chill out on your deck or patio and look up at the sky, day or night, no matter.
Check your ego at the door and ask yourself while you look up at the vastness of the sky and whats physically beyond it....... is there something bigger than me out there?
Don't analyze the question, just look and feel the reality of what you are questioning physically as you focus on the sky and whats beyond.
If you come back with the answer of yes, YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY CHECKED YOUR HUMAN EGO AT THE DOOR!

people might afford being a bit more meek about their existence if they have gotten children or something, but ultimately nobody lets their ego down until the day they die.

well, nothing really matters but yourself. you might get philosophical and consider how large the universe is and find yourself incredible small in the big picture, but the big picture doesnt matter for you if you are dead.
people might afford being a bit more meek about their existence if they have gotten children or something, but ultimately nobody lets their ego down until the day they die.
Nothing matters but yourself is a bit selfish of a process if you ask me.
If i see a guy beating on an old woman, I wont be thinking about myself or my safety believe me!
The guy is gonna get taken out! That is just one scenario, there are a ton of instances where one would dis-regard themselves for others. It just boils down to checking the ego at the door and realizing your life is no more important than anothers. Granted you can't live your whole life like that at all times because you would get eatin alive but at times it is important to let ones true nature out. Rather than surpressing it.
If thats the case and people can't let their ego down at certain times of the day or through out their lives, it is a sad day for humanity. LOL
Not to mention the fact that it would just make one weak as shit and controlled by fear, if you ask me.

As for my ego, it is a good thing to have. It gives me self confidence and makes me feel good. But i never let it get to the point where i am arrogant and stupid. That is a ridiculous thing to do.
