I demand to be senior members because I'm an oldbie!

Now, that's a good argument against the senior member idea :p j/k

Would it be possible for members to be set up to be able to make their posts invisible if they wanted them deleted or can this only be done on forum rather than member moderation?
If possible, mods could then just delete any posts the member wanted removed if there is no reason to keep it.

...or it could be set up on postcount ranking as we suggested... Which would blatantly be less work for all concerned.

Either hiding or removing a post would be the same effort for members. Deleting the posts would not be needed per se. And when the posts remain they give a clear overview for moderators to see if there had been any abuse. It would have been a great solution to avoid abuse.

Trouble is that it isn't supported by IPB. Hiding posts is a moderator power, and we can hardly make everyone with more than 50 posts moderator at every (sub)forum of the boards. :p

I have an idea, how about we do nothing and keep it exactly as it was? Sounds like a plan to me. We somehow survived this many years without it.

Like I said, just edit your post to be empty, so people can at least see something was there
