This thread actually generated some real discussion beyond your desire for a quick laugh. Firstly, you can be a Jew and not support Israel (I know a few Jews who are strongly opposed to everything Israel is doing and has done in the past, what, sixty years?) just like you can be an Englishman and not support England. Although it is truly a clusterfuck of definitions. Clearly nobody has really thought that lot through.

Fits the times this thread. And so it was reborn through the fires of the internets.


theres 1.4million Palestinians who are technically Israeli. but i dunno if their lives are any better than those outside. I also doubt that they are too pro-Israel.

So we have Palestinians, a people with one name and no nation, than we have "Jews", one nation and too many names to count. But they are the only Jewish nation in existence, while the other religions are represented by many nations. Any thoughts?

What's the point really, they all burn in the end. They've made their own hell, leave them to write and boil in their own blood and milk and ignorance. Just don't fall into that stew yourself, and once its done boiling, kick the cauldron into the desert and let them stay forever in their holy lands.

Eh, there's good people all over, but its so easy for people to give meaning to their lives with suffering and spite. Israel and Palestine is a perfect place to see this in action. You might hope for better times, but as long as people keep their grudges and irrational beliefs, not much is going to change.
