If I've read correctly, the ancient Roman's bolt throwers could impale 7 men at most, with a good shot. If you need to see how the Gondor bolt thrower worked, just search the Roman one.

This would be so sick (in a good way ;) ) i am so sick (in a bad way :good: ) of isengard's ballista having a "splash" damage radius so maybe fixing this as well but there should be multiple ballista types, a small bolt thrower for single units, a big kickass one for taking down turrets and walls and fortresses and one medium ballista for monsters, like mumakils and trolls, maybe fellbeasts? ;) Great idea

Hey, I have another idea.

What about Gondor Men-at-Arms? I mean, not all Gondorian fighters were highly-trained soldiers, some were just defending their homes and country. They would be hordes of 10, very cheap, weaker than most units, and would be trainable from the Fortress. Their heavy armor is chainmail, and they would have random models and textures, much like the Rohan Peasants of BFMEI, but a little stronger. What do you think?

Nah, that wouldn't make them a unique faction anymore. Gondor shouldn't have cheap spammable units.
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

Well, the Dwarves have heavy infantry too...

Imo Gondor should be an ok all-around faction whose specialty and uniqueness lies in their elite units (IE the Guards, Rangers, and possibly the KoDA) and heroes. Heavy Infantry is more of a Dwarven thing imo...

So a peasant-like unit wouldn't be particularly bad...

Maybe you could limit the amount that is trainable, so they could be a sort of last defence thing. Only 3 hordes at a time, so if you're being slaughtered and most of your buildings are being taken out, you can train them to try and save yourself. They would have fast train time. That way, they're not spammable, but useful still.

Well if that's the case then just have them as a summon or something.

I have an idea for a hero. The mod is titled "Age of Men," right? Well, then why not add Elessar (Aragorn)'s son Eldarion? He was probably born about 5 years after the ring was destroyed, so it would only make sense to add the son of Aragorn (probably about 20 when he first fought) to the mod as a hero?
I'm creeping, not gone.

I don't think that made sence because this is the war of the ring.and how can you play with heroes that are not even born?!

Then what is the point of calling it the Age of Men if the War of the Ring occured in the 3rd age but the age of man was in the 4th?

he has a point there, anyways why have heroes from the sekond age, when you can't have them from the fourth.
