The French lost because their commanders where naff, not their equipment or the average soldier. In D-day tho you’re the commander & frankly if used right the French/British army could have taken Berlin by 1940.

Well considring that pretty much the whole of the German army was in Poland in 1939, the French & British could have just walked into germany without oposistion, instead they just dug in & waited to be attacked :p

no offense, but I'm glad you're not in charge :p

The autocanon is a bit of an exception, because most of the french tanks and some of their planes were as good or better than their german rivals. Frankly of the two western allies, it was the UK that was seriously lacking in the early stages of the war as far as I'm concerned, they were saved by their poweful navy and the Channel.

lol, need one of them buggers for LS...
And to be fair, at the time they were introduced, French fighters were pretty neat. And the entire point was an AA gun on wheels, the fact it wasn't well armored was irrelivant for its role as a behind-the-lines support.
