Unless you want to write an exporter or find someone to write it, the answer is no.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Use of Max8, 9, and the forthcoming 10 makes the use of Maya look like a field of gerbils. I recruit artists from every point on the NET for Dawn of War and trust me: 75% of em are MAX users. Maya, XSI, Zbrush, Poser, Blender, SoftImage, etc etc don't even compare to the #s that use Max. Maya, though, is a superior rigging/animation tool but with CAT 3.0 for Max that pretty much makes it even now.

That's because Maya is not as good and not as supported for game modding. It's better for movie/cinematic type work.

Plus, it costs more, and its not as well known.

And, it is really hard to do some things that are really easy in Max.

I would take Maya over Max, though. Maya looks and feels very refined and powerful. Like its layout. Max is outstanding since anyone can gain use of it for the core 3d work which is for architecture, landscaping, and game development. But yes.. Maya = mass Film productions!

If you want to use Maya for your C&C3 modeling you're going to need Max anyways. Export as .obj from Maya and grab an .obj importer for Max, then export from Max to .w3x.

Or you could just learn Max because it makes you an even better modeler if you know both programs.
