So after all this time (2006 omg) you're still building this big mod-map? :O
Yeah, yeah, I know it's been a year since someone posted here, and I'm no pro at acting either, but I've played enough games to know what sounds good :p

Here's the intro of a map I made some months ago, in which you can hear my own voice, ole military style  (as "Advisor" and "Eagle 01"). I can be a goblin or orc too if you're still looking for voices :p

Also if you need any sound editing I know a few things on Audacity, too.

pd: That map is actually a track for a racing game, Trackmania, which has a really powerful editor. And yes, I love to mod games as you may have noticed by now ;)

Yeah, this mod has been pretty much a learning project for me. I started this mod back in 2006 when I knew practically knew nothing other than some basic Worldbuilder skills. During the years, I kept learning more and more and continued to improve my skills and the mod. And through all of the learning, I stayed with my original mod. Hopefully, production will pick up as I'm now very experienced in BFME modding... even if I still learn new things everyday.

Nice video there! :evgr: I see you have skills in modding. I most certainly need voice actors for the mod. I did have some helping me, but they either disappeared from the forums or never got around to it (*cough* Yoda_ ;)). I got most of the voice scripts made so I'll send them to you tomorrow. :)

If you can show me how to work my webcam mike (coincidental FTW), Rob, I'll do what I can. I can imitate an Uruk/Westfolder pretty well IMHO :evgr:

If it's no more than recording a sound and sending it on, I can help. What kind of voices do you need?

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

I had the meaning of life in my signature, but it exceeded the character limit.

Well, the voices do have to be decent quality (kind of like TEA's). I mind as well just post the voice scripts on the forums. It'll make it easier to access. Just got to find where I put them. :evgr:

Sorry I left you hanging Rob, went on holidays the 1st and came back a few days ago (didn't check this forum till today).

I've recorded my voice for the Rohan Porter. I'm not amazingly happy since my pro mic won't work so I used a toyish Genius PC mic which makes the sound less professional :S
But still I think I got some nice sounds done. Got an email address where I can send the previews?

edit: I've also done the "move" sounds for the uruk captain, I'll send them over to see what you think.

I think that there is a quite good Uruk voice in the movies for hordes. You know when they are standing outside Helm's Deep and are screeming like hell to the Rohan people and Elves, that terrible sounds would be good for the Uruk hordes.
The race of Men is failing, the blood of Númenor is all but spent – its pride and dignity forgotten… It is because of Men the Ring survives.

Got an email address where I can send the previews?

You can send the files to: rob38_t3a@hotmail.com
Looking forward to hearing them.

Indeed, I do have plans for that sound.

I need some help figuring out how to record rob...

I thought I told you to look up some sort of freeware on the web that lets you record from your microphone. :p I just use some video editing software that has a microphone recording feature. ;)

You can use windows' recorder

I use the free program Audacity myself. It has some useful features, such as equalizers and stuff.

I might be able to do some voices if you give me the scripts, but that's a big maybe.

I used to be {AE}Manveru, if that rings a bell.
