These are new models for the old units. There are some weapon and balance tweeks aswell.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

OMG Thats Awesome. CNC3 Mammouth with some Super Cool Lasers. Best thing I have ever seen for generals.

That is pretty impressive, nice modelling and defiently great texturing :p
If people were more constructive with their comments, then this place would be more enjoyable

regardless....it still looks awsome in generals and in game!

and the weapons lok good...especially the re made plasma cannon.

does this version has an improved PDL? It seamed like that in the vid, to bad that there is no Humvee turett anymore^^

The only difference is the loss of the humvee turret. Its a little weaker vs infantry. The PDL is unchanged.

On the bright side though it will be customizable. Olli pinned me in a corner on TeamSpeak and convinced me the Aux-weapon should be modular..


There will be a seperate primary weapon for each tech tree.

Plasma Cannon
Ion Cannon
Particle Beam
Heavy Microwave Emitter
Heavy Laser

I'm still working on the exact list of componenets, but it will have several options based on the tech tree's you've chosen. examples being:

Pulse laser
Rockets
Microwave emmiter
Plasma torch
Particle streamer

It will be included with the next version. I'm working hard to make sure the next version has more than double the content of version 2.29

the tracks are mounted on "tires" and it uses the half-track code. When it turns the "tire" to point in the right direction the tracks start spinning as if they were still just pushing. It makes a very convincing efect :p

oh yeah...we forgot about the ion and microwave tech tree. i suppose they both need some units.

all in all it sounds good... and it will definatley be balanced and unique to laser.

The Emmiter beam will be identical to the current Microwave tank/turret and dissable buildings/kill infantry.


For the heavy I was planning almost exactly what you described, an effect like the power (obviously new fx for firning), just much smaller area, about the size of average heavy artillery blast, and does moderate damage to tanks and buildings, while insta-killing infantry. medium range. Its real strength would be in DOT... pinned on a single building it would do good damage over a few seconds.

I had in mind for the "Ra" to fire three small balls of ion rapage. Simple and gratifying ;)

The Heavy tank would fire a single medium ball of ion ownage. More powerful, and more gratifying than a simple ball of rapage.


notably, the Artillery may yield its name "Ra" to the Ion Tank. As there will now be 5 versions of the Heavy tank, and the first 2 are already named Osirus and Anubis I will likely extend the theme with 3 more Egyptian gods. The artillery peices will have thier own names... Norse gods??
