Just new look.

And about what percent is done with the new version.

I don't count percents. I can just say that more than 3/4 of work is done.

whats the thing in the back for clearing mines ? :good:

It is hook. I don't know its purpose. I've just copied real dozer. (It is Caterpillar D-11)

Background process. Has something to do with some activity going on somewhere. Sorting junkmail, I think. No value or interest. Doesn't do much except hog resource.

Original Generals China Dozer is very close to Caterpillar design. I decided to make new model closer to original. Imo, D-11 is the most cose to it.

it would might be cool if it had a machine gun to make the 2 dozers a little more different but its a very nice design.

Very nice model. I like how it looks, a huge improvement over the original.

On a side note, I used to work for Catapillar at one of thier factories building BackHoes and wheel loaders. I'm very familiar with the D-11, and while it really does have the same basic shap as the original chinese dozer it is decepticly large. The thing is HUGE. its 4.5 Meters tall, and wieghs 113,000 kg.

Its normaly only used in strip mining and deforesting. Its a few times bigger than the bulldozers that are normaly used in construction. It dosen't "look" all that big in most photos because the cab is dispropotionatly large. a normal dozer or wheelloader cab is very small, where as in the D11 a man can easily stand up in...

Also, a nifty thing... in strip mining D11s are often hooked up to fly-by-wire systems and controlled from an observation tower with no crew inside the machine. Its safer that way because the dozer is so muk'n big you can accedently crush trucks (or people, etc) when trying to drive from the cab.

Cat D9 and D6 have the same basic shape and proportions but are in far more conventional scales. Honestly, the you'd never know what version the model was based off of, the only difference is scale.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

By the way... I found some information about real China dozers. It apperas that usual Generals China dozer was real. It is Shehwa. China really produces them. But Shehwa is full copy of Caterpillar D-8.
