Wow looking good! I have one question though. What will be the advantages of using the sword and shield instead of the mattock? This needs to be specified. Perhaps pierce defense with he shield and sword so its easier to defeat archers. And the Mattock is effective against what?

Mattock? Right now there's no plans to include anything with it, but due to your consistently bringing up good points I'll see about it.
Right now, the only weapons to be inlcuded are various axes, swords, shields, hammers, and tridents...though mattocks could be one of the randomized weapons of the campaigners, I don't see much point in making a unit to specifically use them. Unless it's like Iron Hills Warriors, but I think we'd like to get what's already on our plate done with

Well, elfhelm, what about the advantages of the campaigners axe instead of the sword?

Dain, what were the old days like?

There's not any advantages, it's just a random weapon they'll spawn with.
Well, not that I know of. Matias might have other ideas..

So its more like a dwarf rabble than a battalion? Well, that does give a natural LOTR movie feeling.

Well, not so much a rabble as veterans. These are Dwarves that have been fighting for years upon years-from back to the Dwarf and Goblin Wars to the Battle of Five Armies-and wielding whatever suits their tastes.
They'll have the most variation out of any other Dwarven units, by far.
As for a rabble...think about the Clansmen, and now picture a Nordic mob

-mike

Hrmm.. looking at the cloth now, it looks a little rigid, some light folding wouldn't hurt.

Perhaps some really light folds, because the fabric is supposed to be rather heavy, perhaps even leather. I'll take a look.
