I was looking to start watching a new anime and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on something good to watch. I like anything with robots, scifi, or so really good action.
Any one have any suggestions?

Check out 'Ergo Proxy' (similiarities to BladeRunner, THX-1138 and TheProphecy) and 'Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex' (the best cyberpunk adaption i have yet seen).
'Elfenlied' is also pretty impressive, if you don't mind the central roles being kids, a pretty gory content and the absence of robots, machine guns and the usual trappings of action flics.

Well, There were machineguns, alot of them mind you, not that they actually do much...........

A more light-hearted series while still containing much action would be Busou Renkin. have fun

Code geass is almost a must in the mecha category.

You can also try watching any of the macross series, if you havent already. Eh...not many other mecha shows come to mind...
