What gives people the right to force everyone else to use they're small avatar size? Because I'm willing to bet the majority of the votes are people with at least 70% of that type of opinion guiding their mind.

Also I edited my post that should explain your questions...I edited it before I ever saw your post.

I see. In turn I started my post before you edited.

I guess democracy is lost on you. Also, with your second line, do you mean to say that the people voting for 100 * 100 mostly (for 70% of their reasoning) voted for that just to force their will upon those preferring 150 * 150?

My god, what has this request come to?
Look everyone, it's really simple. This whole issue is a matter of preference. As such, the majority decides what maximum size it will be and that's why there is a poll in this topic (duh).

@Alias: Increasing the limit and telling the majority to get adblock is pretty senseless. Rather the minority can get themselves a magnifier.

@Kacen: If you have a problem with the majority or leaders forcing their opinions on you, leave and make your own forum. We don't force you to be here and your will doesn't outweigh the others simply because it's you.

Why are they still arguing? It's a losing battle. It's fine as it is, if you're so worried about your av size then you've got your priorities wrong. I've been on forums where they are 50x50px, which I don't care about - it's just a image to go along with your name.

And I personally would find it annoying seeing avatar sizes vary down the page because only a minority increase theirs.

That was only my suggestion to those who thought it was "ugly". All the others really have no point in objection to the idea.

Who would of thought something so insignificant would cause so much arguement?

Sorry to point this out to some people, but at the end of the day it's a bloody forum. It's a picture. You have eyes, you can still see it can't you? Be glad that this forum allows for Avatars, on some forums they don't have them.

I agree with olli, its just an av. a picture describing your personality. why make it bigger? it dosent improve anything but more work for Network Leaders, and can be a PITA. so i stand on it stays as 100x100 or less, making it too big can really be annoying to other members of REVORA.

The "work" you are talking about is a 2 minute change in the database.

Depends who would do it; I've never had to do forum changes at a time when my connection has topped 600bps, and that would take a while :)

Anyway, the general concensus seems to be regardless of work required; quite simply, the public do not want to see it change. All arguements aside, people just don't want larger avatars. I assure you that if this changes within the polls timeframe than the change will be made regardless of work required.

There are many changes that could easily be made. I could stop you posting, for example. I could remove avatars entirely, prevent anyone below staff posting in feeding, lots of possibilities. However, nobodys going to go changing things if it doesn't have to be done, and people don't want it changed.

Also, if you read back through this thread others any myself have offered many alternatives for you to achieve your goal without disrupting 70% of the forumgoers enjoyable experience.

Alright, the poll will be open for another 24 / 25 hours (starting from now), since I probably won't be back at Revora before that time.

Alright, a few hours more have passed already.

Current results:
40 votes have been cast in total

Question: "What is your preferred (maximum) Avatar Size?"

25 votes on "100 x 100 (as it is)"
7 votes on "150 x 150"
4 votes on "Don't care"
0 votes on "125 x 125" and "Other (make a post)"

The remaining 4 votes were null votes.

Conclusion: Even after combining the 150 and 'don't care' votes, they are still outnumbered 2 to 1 against the 100 voters.

In other words, keeping the maximum avatar size at 100 x 100 is the ruling preference at Revora.

One thing I may add... I swear I hit the 125x125 option, I think the forums are getting wonky. But, doesn't matter anyway. :good:

OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.
Razgriz intrerpretation
