Hi ya,
Here's a new model I've just been working on, another unit for my BFME2, once I get them ingame i usually lose interest, here's an old character from a game I played as a child, well worth checking out... the games called Oddworld Inhabitants and the character is Abe, official site www.oddworld.com

and now for abe

Oddworld Inhabitants is the company - they used to make games, but have since moved on. Citizen Siege is their current project.

Abe's Oddysey was their first - I'm playing through it now as it happens. That's a pretty good mesh. Not sure what kind of a home it has in BfME 2..

Well I'm continually making models to put into the BFME2 game, just experimenting really, once I find something I actually feel comfortable doing then I'll make an all out mod with the characters. I loved Abe's Oddysey, I played it on PS1 and it's one of the few games I keep coming back and thinking about every now and again, it's originality was so inspiring, there's never been anything like it since, not sure I'm gonna like citizen siege seeing it's a step away from the Oddworld Universe

Here's a new model (radaghast) that I'm currently working on, unskinned as of yet but I'm working on it, did this one really quickly today as was inspired by some pics...

Thanks,
Was a bit iffy about the arms all right, I think I made the body a bit under sized, the head seems very elongated to me, I should've prob based it off an existing character to get the prop's right but am going to skin this one today and see how it goes.

Ok so just finished put on the face and hair texture, robbed from some random internet pic and here we are.... as you can see I'm having problems again with the clothing textures which is always so annoying considering I love model making....

Thanks, skinning aint my strong point whatsoever and I just recently discovered the cut tool in 3ds max which makes this modelling stuff a whole lot easier.... :)

Looks nice, are you making your own animations for him or use existing ones?
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

I'm going to make my own, if I bind him to a currently exisiting skeleton he will most likely end up looking warped, anytime I bind models to pre-made skeletons they always end up looking deformed or some bit weird. I'm going to take a break for a few hours now, have been tinkering with my model between coffees since 7am... its now 11.44am and my eyeballs have officially dried up into raisins :) , otherwise I'd happily keep going.

Here's the first simple animation, running, haven't done any complex anims yet but I might have one done for tomorrow, depending - thanks very much for all the comments and compliments, its great to hear your feedback. For some reason the avi to gif converters running this fairly slowly but the actual animation is at 30fps in Max and runs quite normally so I think there must be an issue with the conversion.

cool cool, thanks, any suggestion as to what kind of weapon he should have, not sure about give him a sword and then there's the question of will he look lame if he just has his staff without a weapon, just discovered also some of my joints are messed up so have to do them again, watch this space, I'm super in the zone today.... usually i make a model and get bored of it but Radagast is something I've been wanting to do for ages....so am determined to do as good a job as I can. thanks for the input by the way!

Uh...well, I'm pretty sure he never really had a weapon...so maybe he could just use some minor magic attacks? Though that doesn't really fit....hmmmm. A club or mace would be interesting....but I don't think it would really work

Although...it might be interesting to give him a bow. I don't think anyone's ever done that before. Just a thought.

I was think something along the lines of a weak repulsor force attack, something along the lines of Galadriel, without a weapon its hard to imagine a fighting style, I mean I could do something with his staff but I don't want him to end up looking like the old chinese guy in Karate Kid. A club would be hilarious, nobody would buy it, a bow and arrow seems more like it but again an old man and his arrow seems weird, he's an animal lover so it's hard to imagine him with any weapon, maybe he can summon a stampeding herd of PETA/ Greenpeace members....
