Thanks just a little more work today, am not great at making structures, turns out trying to make straight likes is really a pain

"It looked to Frodo like the remains of an ancient road, that had once been broad
and well planned, from Hollin to the mountain-pass.
The Moon, now at the full, rose over the mountains,
and cast a pale light in which the shadows of stones were black.
Many of them looked to have been worked by hands,
though now they lay tumbled and ruinous in a bleak, barren land.

Rounding the corner they saw before them a low cliff,
some five fathoms high, with a broken and jagged top.
Over it a trickling water dripped, through a wide cleft that seemed
to have been carved out by a fall that had once been strong and full.
"Indeed things have changed!" said Gandalf. "But there is no mistaking the place.
There is all that remains of the Stair Falls."

I pictured the waterfall as less full, but other than that, great work Ed! :p

I can say the area there of the lake should be more messy , and the lake should have strange things in it .More realistic .Just a tip .

Rest is pretty good even i don't understand what effect is at the waterfall.

Here's my reskin and edited model of the great beasts, although Mordor use them in the films, the Dwarves are using a lesser sized version in the games, so I can only assume it's meant to be an Auroch of some sort, so for all intents and purposes that's what I intend to use them for, I also intend to make it a hero mountable creature, my version of this creature will stand about the size of a small elephant, and in kind with eastern histories there were war elephants, I hope to employ something similar for this creature, I hope that if I ever get around to making anything of my own that this could be utilized in a dwarven mission, perhaps the retake of Moria, check back for further details on the Wa'rochs!

Now before I get into anything here, the skin for the troll was sourced on the Zbrush central forums, I added elephant skin and various other effects to bring out the trollness in it, the great beast was textured using pictures of the official WETA model pictured in the SEE dvd with a layer of cow fur placed on top. The results are the following

Hate the Auroch concept (for Dwarves anyway) but you make it look good :good: also, wonderful reskin of the Troll.

Thanks guys, a further step into Moria here, am focusing on the the west entrance atm, not even concerned with the mine... Though I will lay down my plans for the maps over the next few days, I have an idea of where I want to go with this but it will end up quite a large project if I do take it on board.

Here's the west entrance, btw this in know way means it's going to be the layout of the map, these are just objects that have either been created, mapped, edited or reskinned by myself.... I'll show you samples of some of the building work over the next few days. The one thing I am concerned about is the colour palette for moria, in the films in east moria, it starts out with a bluey green tint, the in middle moria it's a light green following onto an almost navy colour in the great hall and slowly graduating in to orange/brown hue as it goes on toward bridge of Khazad Dum, I'm kinda worried I'll get the atmosphere wrong on this end of things. Design wise it's fairly bland in a stark contrast to the dwarves in the BFME games they are less colourful and all the art is in the shapes and symmetries of their structures. So if anyone has any tips on texturing or know a way to change the lighting adequately in worldbuilder can you give me a holler, I need brains to pick!

Erm.................wow?
The race of Men is failing, the blood of Númenor is all but spent – its pride and dignity forgotten… It is because of Men the Ring survives.

I remember playing around with those pieces in the BFME I Worldbuilder. :p Looking good, I've always thought of Moria as a very interesting place. ;)

Lol I don't know why I did that, prob went overkill on the braids but wanted that kinda Scottish medieval shepherd look, cos the original intent was to kit him him out in shepherds gear and the braids having meant to be bits of Auroch wool strung in his beard, was hoping it'd seem somewhat ritualistic or ceremonial but I guess pretty's okay. I did a reskin using my friends face, perhaps it's less pretty

Or another story about the braids perhaps is that each one signifies a comrade who has fallen in the wars..... dunno, I'll leave it up to your imagination
