“On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high.” Ayrton Senna

I just have not set up a feed to the site yet, and I've not gotten around to rewriting the update in html.

On other thoughts, I just recently downloaded your mod (BTW, filefront mirror isn't working xP), but couldn't help to notice... Elves are still elves! When I saw these pics, I thought, woa! a mod with different elvish factions! I thought it would be nice to see Mirkwood, Rivendell, Lothlorien and Mithlond as we see Rohan, Gondor, Arnor... for Men, and Mordor, Isengard and Angmar as Evil and shadow factions.
Now that I think about it, it would ROCK if we had at least one Dwarven faction that is not, well, dwarves... something like "Erebor"!! (which is where most dwarves like Gimli and Gloin and Dain lived/came from) And for the Goblins, SEE made a cool twist, they named them Moria, which fits, seeing as they mostly come from there in the Misty Mountains (not only that, they infested it ). Lastly, hehe I'd love to see Men of the East renamed into "Rhun" ("East" in elvish, right?), which is where the Easterlings (men) came from, just like the Gondorians (Men) came from Gondor.

Now those were my suggestions with explanations, here they are more organized (wow I'm new and look at what I'm doing for starters ):
Factions [that I humbly suggest ]
Men:
-Gondor
-Arnor (complete with Hobbits, who after all fought against Angmar a bit too )
-Rohan
Elves:
-Mirkwood
-Rivendell (and Mithlond, perhaps? These two where the realms of Gil-galad and his followers, aye?)
-Lothlorien
-(Mithlond?) (hopefully a standalone faction and not part of Arnor or part of Rivendell instead!)
Dwarves:
-Erebor (complete with Iron Hills and Blue Mountains reinforcements )
Shadow:
-Mordor
-Isengard
-Moria
-Angmar
-Rhun (complete with reinforcements from Harad, of course... Mumakil! )

I would like to point out, one VERY basic thing here:
I know it sounds like waaay too much work (although it's basically renaming, and some factions could share buildings... you have the unilts already after all ), or, moreover, way too many factions for an RTS But then again, we are talking about Professor Tolkien's Middle-earth here, not some stupid Republic or Empire from Star Wars (kiddin', I like those too) My point is, it is VERY valid from my perspective to have all these factions, which are, if I may say, not factions in fact, but whole NATIONS, COUNTRIES of this huge chunk of land that is Middle Earth (and some from far South and East too ).
I mean, we have the realm of the horselords, Rohan; the last standing great kingdom of Numenoreans, Gondor... and so forth... we have the realm of the corrupted Men of the East, [hopefully] renamed into Rhun hehe, so why not, this mod deserves to have the great realms/refuges of Elves as independent factions, and at least one proud realm -Erebor, in the Lonely Mountain- of the dwarves.
As you can see, I don't get it how EA gave us such weird factions, some are races, other places...
Hope you share my point of view. But still not considering all that [crap] , this is still a great mod that brings us much closer to Tolkien's imagination. Good work guys All I meant to do was give my suggestions, nothing more, if you don't share my thoughts please don't take this as destructive, rather constructive criticism
Cheers guys, long live Middle-earth!
(woa, could use some short-posting techniques )

The Hobbits will be (to my knowledge) included limitedly as the only instance that Hobbits fought during the 3rd age (in a decent sized group) during the Siege of Fornost, during which 20 Hobbit archers waged war. If you are suggesting that the mod sub-fac everything, that will not happen (save in the case of the Elves). And Mithlond will essentially be a subfac of Arnor, however the Elves will, if I recall correctly (official tech trees haven't been posted) have a few Mithlond units. To my knowledge, the Blue Mountains Dwarves, Dwarves of the Iron Hills, AND Dwarves of Erebor will be included. Mordor, Isengard, and the Goblins (I think we can come up with something more creative than Moria) will stay independent factions. Rhun and Harad have been merged to make the Men of the East faction. Now those were my suggestions with explanations, here they are more organized (wow I'm new and look at what I'm doing for starters ):

My conclusion is that you should really consider reading some posts in each section first and track down some of the mod leader's posts and see what his plans are. You seem as if you posted blindly and probably after a few meager minutes of gameplay at that.

First of all, welcome to the forums Beriadan. The reason elves are still elves is that all of this was done after the last public beta, which was released sometime around Christmas, iirc. Moria and Erebor are really just name changes...we can focus on that after the important stuff. The problem with adding new factions is that we're pretty much at the limit already. Right now on 8 player maps, two factions won't have ai. If we add any more, they won't either. But even if that weren't so, rob would probably still want to keep MotE and Elves together because they really fit together. Rhun and harad are kind of empty without each other, they can't really fight to full capacity without eachother. The elves are a little bit the same way, though one subfaction can theoretically hold its own, it's pretty hard without help. Plus, you get the extra elites units and a yet-to-be-seen new unit once you get all three. Men of the east will stay men of the east (as rhun and harad are in the east), but elves (and dwarves+goblins) will likely get changed to something else, possibly something like woodland realm.
Thanks for your interest though!
