The Lord of the Rings Portraits

Hi everyone! I had been struggling to make parchment portraits, and I couldn't work because of the "Layer>Color>Colorize" part
I had to recut the portraits from the original images again as the old ones were erased (stupid, me ). I've tried something different while I was making them. Suggestions, comments and advises are always appreciated. And here're the results.

P.S. Anyone please comment at "Caluadan's Gallery" topic, I've done more coloured portraits, but I don't want to triple-post.

First Set: The Fellowship of the Ring
Including: Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir





Second Set: Elves
Including: Gloradir, Calagrin, Dunedal, Uruviel, Elrohir, Elladan, Erestor, Gildor

Wow, thanks, mates! Like I said at the Caluadan's Art Gallery topic, The portraits in the seond set might be a bit weird as they were really hard to be cut from the original images.

We have just four portraits in the first set
Including: Figwit, Orophin, Rumil, Cirdan



And the second set which the portraits are not so good
Including: Anendal, Balglin, Erethon, Fereveldir, Ferevellon, Ordulus, Pengedhel, Taurnil, Thandronen, Thonnas





That's all for today. I gotta work on other stuff now

They are all amazing, they and they are of a very high quality but are those Elves from Helm's Deep all heroes?

@Puppeteer- About the Fade I just use a very big fuzzy brush (of course in Photoshop) to erase the edge of the portraits.
@hrrypttrbst- Those elves from Helm's Deep aren't really the main characters, I just made it. I got their names from TCG.
