Hey SEE fans!

If you follow the intructions step by step you wont be having any problems what so ever.

1: Install the game in english, otherwise it can lead to errors.

2: Download the 1.06 patch witch you find here

3: Download SEE Beta4.5

4: Extract the SEE folder inside the .rar file with WinRar5: Extract the SEE shoutcut from the .rar file with WinRar (.Ink)

6: Right click on shourtcut > Properties

7: Nazguls Target path : :"E:\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod SEE
Start In:"E:\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"

8: Change the target and/or the Start In path if needed. Like if you have the game on C: disk you change the E: to C:.

9: Exit properties and open the game.

10: Enjoy!

WinRar can be found at Rarlab

Updated sins I writed this like a rake .

Ok,there is an other way to bring it to work :

Put your SEE folder to Your drive "C"(where your programs folder is )

Now write this to the target path:

"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\SEE"

It should work now.

Actually - fail to see how SO many ppl can have SO much problems with this? The Installation Instructions (PDF) that come with the mod are FLAWLESS! If you do it RIGHT you won't get an error...

Nope, that's the thing... you can put the mod ANYWHERE on your HD... It doesn't matter. Just stay away from the actual GAME folder as that will cause crashes... I have the game at partition E and the mod directly at E yes, but I might as well put the mod in another partition =)

I have BFMEII and mod both on E, my second drive, as well. works good. I did have the game on C and mod on E but needed to make room on my main drive so moved it over.

Install the game per Nazguls installation instructions pinned in this forum, they work and are easy to follow.

If you need help with the shortcut on the dekstop, I check my file attachments and you will see a compressed file with the shortcut in there and the paths/target lines are filled out, you just extract and change the file name extension to LNK

Follow JonasKings guide at the top; english version.

Dont modify the game files. If you reinstall the game, make sure you completely uninstall any previous versions first, both automatically and then check the programs location manually and clean that out, too.

Install it like he and naz and dozens of others have said to LOL :p Spain aint the problem here!! alright, just messing with ya...

So anyhow, install it clean, patch it to 1.06 as instructed above, and then follow the guide!!!! You can do it!

To our Install Guide and anyone else: I dont know, but maybe there are some files that can be extracted from the english version and copied into a non-english versions installation and it will make it work with the SEE mod? If thats a possibility, is that something that can be placed in an Installer? the user would have to re-patch to 1.06 again after having the main games files over written with english (or to make it english)...
I dont know, thats a thought. make it so people could use their non english version without buying a new one...
Or didnt I see a post by Sul or someone recently that said they got a german version to work somehow?? :p

Yes. Read through the Pinned topics in the Support section. Read through before doing anything to lessen the chance of having anything harmful happen.

If you install the Game and the Mod correctly, it will not have any negative affect on your operating system, other programs or hardware, ie internet connection.

IF after reading ALL the pinned topics in the Support subforum, you still have questions, then come back and ask specifics.

And if you REGISTER we will be able to know who you are so we don't lose track of your progress

Alright, it seems you are very new to this which is alright, so I will answer this here instead of pointing you to the install info. BUT! Dont ask how to install it here LOL, thats already covered and ya gotta read the PINNED topics!

Ok....You install BFMEII (per the intructions in the pinned section.). Use default install and then patch it with the updater in the group folder icons

So you have BFMEII installed.

Then you donwload and install the SEE mod in a SEPARATE location from BFMEII (see.....ya didnt read the instructions, did you? LOL)

The BFMEII game installation will put a BFMEII icon on the desktop and the Mod will put a Mod icon on the desktop

When you want to play the game, click the game icon. when you want to play the mod, you click the mod icon. The mod will not harm the game and vice versa.

Now you gotta go read the install stuff.
