I've never really got into Gundam, but my brother watches it and tells me it's pretty cool. If they're making a movie of I'd probably go and see what it's like, although I'd be at a slight disadvantage due to me having no knowledge of Gundam whatsoever.

Don't bother, this show is horrid, it's one of the worst gundams ever made.

It's complete shit, the protagonists are severely underdeveloped, they spend an entire season hyping up the antagonists only to have them die in incredibly stupid ways, every other episode theres a deus ex machina to save the protagonists, every other episode they become even more overpowered, making the fight with the "bad" guys even less exciting and the combat scenes are very poor overall, the AD "universe" is severely underdeveloped and the show is incredibly inconsistent (For instance, Cherudim's pistols not able to even scratch Prince Ali in his Arche Gundam, yet the very next episode the same pistols take off his arm, blow the head off, basically tear his gundam apart.)

My thoughts on the final episode: A terrible ending to a terrible show. The first fight was pretty good overall, Hallejuah made his fabulous return, which I liked, how he killed Healing was pretty damn cool. Revival's death was beyond stupid. Copout 2.0, who was half blind, managed to somehow magically time it perfectally so his one second of transam would let him dodge and kill revive, why didn't revive use his trans-am? The trial field was gone.

The O vs Exia fight was abysmal, the ear bleeding marina song ruined everything. The epilogue was stupid, the innovator cameos was silly. unsurprisingly, all the good guys made it out perfectally fine while every bad guy died. Graham didn't contribute anything to this season, he was just a random hurdel they had to overcome for absolutely no reason, the innovators were jokes, ribbons was a joke, the 00 crew were all still severely underdeveloped, the gagas was fucking stupid (Why Ribbons used clones of Bring Stupidity and his brother, Devine Loser, instead of some AI is mystifying) everyone suddenly talking, understanding each other and becoming BFF was equally as fucking stupid, I understand that people who like this show are fuckwits, yet I don't agree with them and become BFF's over it.

All in all, terrible terrible series, i'm so glad this shits done and the superior FMA Brotherhood series starts instead.

P.S. i'm back fags.

I have to agree with a few of those points, the Marina song makes everyone's ears bleed, and the fact that they ruined a perfectly good fight with it is beyong reasoning.

In other news, Gundam 00 movie *sigh* yay Jupitor!!! *sigh*

maybe they'll explain jupitor better than Dode Geass did *sigh*

GN FLOWERS WILL TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!! that part I laughed a bit at.

Apparently, the Innovator "cameos" had backstory after all, Veda has millions of "innovade's" spread accross the world collecting data on mankind, who are not self aware and think themselfs to be humans. (im not gonna comment on that, just providing information)

Anyways, how bad would it be if they screwed up FMA?

Screwing up FMA is flat out impossible. Its too good.

Tieria had become veda, so no innovade-veda connection. Trial field disables the MS, not disconnecting this link. I assume that revial's trans-am was empty, seeing as lockon only had one second.

My own opinion only...lockon shot arche's joints this time. No actually marina's song was not cruding up the fight scene because i dont consider the last an actual fight scene. Seeing as the outcome was obvious and symbolic. Graham's only role is to develop setsuna's innovator plotpoint.

And i told u guys...Patrick will ALWAYS be back. I'll bet 1 to 10 odds SG will watch the movie just so he can bash it. Cause the cast, crew and storywriters are going to be all the same.

The ending was fine, so sue me. A brain-bleeder ending is like the one linebarrel ended with, not this. Lets get to FMA...

But then afterwards he shot clean through Arch's head, and then proceeded to blow it to bits with the pistols.

oh, and for Prince Ali to die in a shootout with Copout 2.0 was very depressing.

Here's the thing you probably don't get DLR, I really really really want to like this show, but it's just that bad. I will watch the movie in the hope that the writers get their shit together and learn how to craft a decent plot/character development/etc etc

oh and in the hope some of the main characters die so I can laugh at them.

So faithful adaptation means no more "Sloth is Ed's mom" right?

By the way, just from the trailers, WHY is Ed's hail the only one not outlined in black? it feels.....just weird, I dont know what else tosay about that.

Now that this is done, what's the 30th annyversary project? I've heard of it being an OVA or a full-length, or even a manga, where's my confirmations?

wb sg.

i gotta agree about the song. i've hated it since i first heard it. i was worried they'd do something like this at the end.

As for fma. i loved the manga. im hoping the same goes for the new anime. its killing me though waiting for the next volume of the manga to come out

Ok, SG i can accept that.

Just some more things about the last episode, its interesting (or not) that ribbons threw his shield and took a familiar pose to amuro's RX-71. My point being, other than this semi-cameo, is there any other point? Other than making 0 gundam feel very important.

Also, in the last screen of Jupiter, u notice that there are 4 green stars encircling the planet, ie. there are 4 original GN drive mobile suits. So probably all 4 gundams or 4 lookalikes will be back, with the original pilots and juding by endless waltz, no, most likely none of them will die. So too bad.

I figured that the suicide ms all had clone pilots cause trans-am needs a real pilot to use or activate. I have to admit this is pretty flimsy a reason though its still unclear how trans-am works (installation and activation wise, not operation). At one point plotemy used trans-am without a gundam on board, which confused the hell out of me.

I thought the 30th anniversary project was the full size RX-71 model. Or at least part of it.

30th Anniversary was Gundam 0081, something set just after Zeon War of Indepedence where the EaF are hunting down the remnants of Zeon.

I must correct a mistake ive been making, ive been citing RX-78's registry as RX-71 in all my previous posts. I mixed up with Nu gundam's registry RX-91.

Speaking of RX-78, they really put alot of effort into this semi-cameo, like in the last pose 0 gundam took in the show was taken from RX-78. More than that, something about ribbons and the way he spoke really bugged me, really familiar. Finally it struck me (if any of all of you already know this, well...i didnt, so bear with me) that it was similar to amuro. I checked up on it and while in the credits ribbon's VA is Sogetsu Noboru, its a false name for Furuya Toru, amuro's VA. Should have hit me earlier, considering how familiar the whole setup with 0 gundam was.

I still think the FMA series will rock...but i thought it over abit and realised that we'll have to watch the initial arcs all over again? Since the the original series was not a faithful adaptation, but it only split off around after hugues died.

It won't be presented the exact same as the first series, so it'll be watchable.

p.s. I knew about that since his was first introduced, some of the blogs and shit I read refer to him as Dark Amuro instead of Ribbons.

He's been evil Amuro due to voice actor, that's another factor in this business. However I didnt expect him to pilot the RX-78 at the end, that was a relatively pleasant 'suprise'.

The fight sceen is good in itself just because of the sequences used.

Cant wait for FMA. On a side note, where are the Basara subs? I fucking LOVE Datte, he's amazing in the games.

I'm quite dissapointed to be honest.

While they touted it as a faithful adaptation of FMA manga, it's not.

The first episode has Elric Brothers meeting Hughes in central and they're like "HI!" and he's like "HI TO YOU!" and then he's like "YOU GOT A PLACE TO STAY?!" and they're like "NO!" so he's like "YEA! COME STAY WITH ME!"

I was always under the impression that Hughes met them on the train, not by randomly going into Mustnags office.

oh and nothing in the first ep happened in the manga, turncoat ice alchemist, bradley already revealing he's a wicked swordsman, etc etc.

I mean, don't get me wrong, it was great, but I was expecting a faithful adaptation and it's not what we've got.

problem is though that a lot of the episodes in the previous series (especially early on) were just like the story from the manga. It branched off later though. im guessing that the first few episodes are going to be different from the manga cuz they already did them in the previous series. I suspected this may happen but i wasn't completely sure.

since i have yet to watch the new series yet thats all i can really say. Probably get around to it tonight.

edit: just watched it. not bad but there were a few things that didnt feel right.

i felt it was kind of rushing. like suddenly half the characters that were introduced later in the manga and the anime are in the first episode. if you never read the manga or watched the previous anime you could get a bit confused.

i didnt mind the episode itself. i kinda feel sorry for the ice alchemists though. sure he was crazy but he had the right idea (i won't spoil anything incase some of u havent read the manga).
