Well, in the "campaign.xml" file I've found section named "Pirate Starting Forces" with units and structures listed for each planet the pirates control, for example, in this case is Etti IV:

What part of that should I remove? All? Or just troops, leaving the space and ground structures?

BTW: is there any explanation file, what are space bases for (both types)? As I understand the "colonies" are in PR the same as "vanilla" starbases; yet what are the "Factories" for?
And what is the purpose of "transport ships" in the game? What are they for? I mean all those "transport", "passenger", "freighter" ships?

And also one more thing - how does economy work i PR? I stated (Empire) GFFA full camp with 80K credits. The counter counts down the money all the time; however, when I'm buying something (structure, ship etc.) I can see no single decrease of the money account, but instead the "money counter" running all the time.

Factories are the starbases that let you build stuff. Transports and freighters generate income, just build some and then move them to a different planet, and they will automatically start generating income. If you build something, it doesn't take the lump sum, rather, it takes a certain amount of credits per second that amount out to the price you see. Allows you a little more flexibility when building if you do it right.

You can remove all of those entries, I think. Its whether you want to... I know I won't. Does no one else not mind a few minutes wait to start the game? Its not that long...

Even with the pirates removed this version is a LOT laggier than the previous one ;)
Whatever it was PR did that was supposed to remove the lag didnt work at all

Can someone post the edit they made that got rid of the lag? Because I have a good comp and galactic conquest is practically unplayable...and I don't know how to edit XMLs.

I've got two core duo 4400 processors, two gigabits of ram, and a Nvidia 8300 G Force video card and my computer can barely handle the smallest conquest map.

And this is the computer that handled upwards of one hundred ships in one space battle on the last version, plus all the fighter compliments without a bit of lag. Something is seriously wrong here...

It would be greatly appreciated if someone were to explain how to go about getting rid of the lag. Simply saying that you deleted such and such types of files is basically just the same as giving the rest of us a teaser...

Also, the skirmish is great. The AI seems to fighter spam a ton on medium. have not tried against easy or hard yet. I can not wait for a solution to the GFFA lag!!

Has anyone tried to disable rotating planets? I can't help but think that although its a simple calculation, doing it against so many planets may cause lag. 137 rotating planets, + 10 calculation refreshes (Im not exactly sure how the engine deals with the data, so I am assuming worse case scenario) a second, would be 1,370 calculations a second. Its also possible...But nah.....Or...Hmmmm, I will need to analyze that....I may have a thought/potential lead on lag created by AI hyperspace jumps......

I've not tried it, but would be interested in the results.

Öhm Guys... Mabye it´s a retard question... But where can i download the 1.1 Version? At ModDB i just find the 1.0 Version and the Starfighter MiniMod... Is one of these the 1.1 Version?

PR's fixed version was uploaded, so it'll have to be verified by an administrator again.

If i find that loading time is too long, or that GC is too slow, i just grab a book (wheel of time) and read that as i wait, or at the same time as playing. That way i am not just sitting there waiting, but i can also enjoy the mod.

I'm still considering this 1.1, but Mod DB appended .1 to the name because I guess the last one wasn't fully deleted yet. That's something they added though, not me.

Euch, i cannot follow anymore... ;)

Is there a 1.1.1 version coming up, or is the now available 1.1 the already modified version without the GSA ?

As feedback, i tried with a fresh Windows install and it goes faster..but not playable on my PC and in Skirmish mode i'm being bounced with exception errors every 20 mins.

Is the 1.1.1. going to fix this ?
