the Czech Republic: Tommorow I heard how one taxidriver was killed in Olomouc (I think by another taxidriver, I can thank to my sister I haven't heard who did it), tree fell on people in a market place, around 12 people were injured, 2 of them were 12 years old boys, one of them died in a hospital, other boy still fights for his life... This tree was checked in autumn, but nobody found it had rotten roots...

OK, this would be normal bad news, but today:

the USA: 25 years old Chinese student in Polytechnical Institute of State University in Virginia (place of massacre of 32 students by one their South Korean student in 2007)
cut head of his classmate, she was 22 years old Chinese student. It happened (on Wednesday) in cafeteria. This murderer has been arrested for murder of 1st degree, motive indeterminate...

Belgium: Psychopath (not necessary escaper from local asylum) was on killing spree with his knife in a crib in Termonde (Dendermonde) (Belgium), 3 (or even 5 people) are dead, one of them woman, min. 2 children, 10 - 20 people have been injured... Finally he has been arrested.

Norway: Tromsö, north Norway: (probably) one man shot a woman (teacher) and himself then on a parkplace in a front of kindergarten
Officially it's unknown who was shooter, if a teacher or a man.

Anyway, THIS IS really DRASTIC! :p
Is this normal?!

EDIT: for unstressing: One toddler somewhere in Canada called a Police by mistake, but Police father of this child was producing marihuana :D

Hey, shit happens. What can you do? As long as none of these murders were committed by you or could have been stopped by you, then there's very little point moping over them. People die. When it's your time, it's your time.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

Fascinating that you've found Norwegian news. That case actually turned out more tragic, as it was a police officer that went nuts. Somehow got his pistol out of the armory, went over to the parking lot of the kindergarden waiting for his ex. When she came he fired multiple shots into her head, before shooting himself in the head as well. He is still alive somehow, but the doctors doesn't expect him to live for much longer.

The Belgium kindergarden killer is rumored to have been wearing joker-makeup, and was caught on a bicycle. And yesterday Heath ledger got nominated for his joker in the dark knight.

The tree situation is tragic but probably not as bad as the others here.

All in all i don't know if this day is any worse than any other. People die all over the world. Obama has had his first missile attack on Pakistan, which killed 16 persons. all in all I'm more optimistic these days than what i was last year... well ignoring the economic crisis, which might cause more inhuman suffering in the future.

With over 6 billion inhabiting the world, is it such a surprise? Not all are good (by our standards).
