Elrond is WAAAAAY more powerful than Glorfindel once he gets his lvl 8 power, as hard as it is to level him. He seriously 1-hit kills any hero in the game so long as all the horses hit the hero, whereas it takes Glorfindel's attack a MUCH longer time to do the attack. Elrond should have his price moved up to 4k. Glorf is the strongest melee hero in the game. He can rip through basicly anything, he has no need of abilities. Nuff said. And there is the factor of having to level Elrond up...

Yes, but once Elrond is at lvl 8, a lvl 10 Glorfindel would die to him in under 5 seconds. Also, Elrond's not exactly a physical lightweight and can rip through a decent amount of enemies. Leveling him so long as he has an army by him isn't a problem. At level 10, Glorfindel is good for ripping through enemies (he does the same thing at level 5), but would be torn apart in a 1v1 fight to the death (no running away on the horse) against Elrond.

Besides, if I want a cheepo Elrond in early-game, I can always mod him to be worth 1 and respawn worth 1. That's what I have in my current TEA version. I also did that to all the other heroes . It's EPIC !!!!!!!!!!! In addition, I gave Galadriel MEGA OP AoE. She can attack half way across the map or something like that. Her attack also got a boost in my EPIC (phail) version of TEA and sits at around 5k with a health of roughly 200k. Not touching this with a ten foot pole.

What about with an 11 foot poll :p?

Everything traces its roots back to Cel, so he takes 100% of the credit. Thanks, Cel (even though I know you're not reading this)!

And yes, Jeth, you're in Lauri's league of smilies...

Also, sorry for being such a ******, adummy.

Sorry, but that's never going to happen

And yes, Jeth, you're in Lauri's league of smilies...

Despite the fact that he denies it? :p

Exactly. Once he levels up. Starting cost is based mostly upon starting effectivness. And Elrond would only win with abilities, otherwise Glorf wins. Have you tried it, btw :p

I saw how much damage Elrond did to the same enemy attaked by Glorfindel... and the enemy was Sauron in a custom map. I made him have 20k HP. Anyways, Elrond at lvl. 10 is way better than Glorfindel at lvl 10 when it comes to hero desctruction and base destruction.

Also, Gil-Galad is a bit overpowered for 4000... he's WAAAAAY more powerful than Glorfindel with all his abilities and a lvl 10 Elrond might have a bit of trouble overcoming his abilities.

Anyways, any further bugs will go into the bugs category.

Gil-Galad isn't in the standard edition. Yes, I know you can add him to playertemplate.ini but nobody plays online with him, so it doesn't matter.

Yes, I know. Meh, when I mod him in, I'll just make him cost 4.5k instead.

Shouldn't all of this "balancing" discussion go in the balancing thread? :p

I bet it's Rabies.

Someone should make a trailer for it once all the details have been worked out.
This is going to be great a revival :p

Perhaps TEA should be unarchived since it's back in production now.

Don't get overly cheerful. Rad didn't say he was going to do it yet. And he already has a lot on his platter, so to speak.

And it can be a bi*** about many things, as well. I've seen how annoying it can be in Lauri's mod (the Rohirrim :thumbsdownsmiley:), RJ-RotWK (good factions not offensive enough) and beta testing for Wars of Arda... They can be OP or UP.

Since discussing the Elven AI will be a long affair, and extremely off topic here, I started up an AI thread. Have at it, people. :cool2:
