Let us begin with the Greeks, something obscure but relatively simple. Any kind of question is acceptable herein, requiring any length of answer, as long as it is clearly phrased. Let the games begin!

Q: Who was Endymion?

By the way, everyone else is welcome to throw in a question here or there and we'll both answer it or something. Anyway, SWG, the ball is in your court now.

He was a shepard.

What is the purpose of this thread?

To challenge SWG's and my knowledge of mythology. Read Zhar's character creation topic and hopefully you'll understand. Also I'm currently somewhat sleep-deprived, so I don't care. Also, there was a hell of a lot more to Endymion than that. You get more points for more detail, assuming it's correct of course.

Oh come on. We both know you're only looking for an excuse to either a. show off your intelligence or b. pwn the living daylight out of SWG :p

Since when have I needed an excuse to show off? Also, what's your point? This is Arsencia, my RP, and the OOC stuff does not have to be relevant to anything. By the way, this would not show off my intelligence, rather my knowledge. The two are wholly different and the distinction is an important one.

Endymion means sleep, he was chosen by Selene to receive her love and they had 50 daughters.

Bring it.

Cheops. Hence, the Great Pyramid of Cheops. I believe he's also referred to as Khufu sometimes, as an abbreviation of Khnum-Khufu, which means 'under the protection of the god Khnum', or something like that.

Nope, no Wikipedia or Google.

Who was the son of Achilles, and who was responsible for finding him asking him to join the Trojan War?

Odysseus found him with a bunch of women... at least, I think it was Odysseus.

Half-correct, but not good enough. There's more to it than that, and I still need his name.

I hate to correct you, Vort, but the pyramids were actually built by the same aliens that abducted Elvis. :p

Patroclus is the first name that comes to mind, but he wasn't Achilles' brother... *scratch scratch*

Firstly, the question pertains to Achilles' son, not brother. Secondly, Patroclus was his cousin and 'close personal friend', and got killed by Hector under the illusion that he was Achilles while the Big A was sulking in his tent.

Don't remember his son's name, but Achilles was hidden by his mom in woman's clothing. Odysseus captured recruited him by carting a wagon-full of ironwork into the town Achilles was hiding in, but while the other women were checking out pots 'n pans he was inspecting a sword hidden in the.. stuff. Owned :p

You only half answered my question vort, which i only added in to add a little extra difficulty (cause it wasn't that hard a question on its own)
So, what people built the pyramids?
(which can just be the new question, as your other one just got answered)

So, what people built the pyramids?

It is widely accepted that the egyptians built it, but in fact the pyramids were built by slaves as well.

In the end you would have farmers, peasants and foreign slaves working on the pyramids
If the above post offended you in any way,

I'd have to agree with Taralom on that one. Anyway, as nobody can remember, Achilles' son went by the name of either Pyrrhus or Neoptolemus, there are different attestations in different literary works, but they agree he's the same person.

Q: Explain the design and function of the Naglfarr.
