*grinds teeth* This is annoying.
Anyways, I'm trying to uninstall Adobe Reader 9.0 from my computer, since there is a better one out now anyways. But it won't let me uninstall because I'm missing AcroRead.msi! I searched my computer, and there is no evidence of that file anywhere on it.
Google isn't much help either. I can get anything BUT the 9.0 .msi file.
Now I don't know what to do. The program takes up a full 200 MB, so no small potatoes when my laptop only has 27 GB of hard drive space TOTAL. It has to go.
Help, guys?

......and of course the dang 9.0 installer is nowhere to be found. Of course, it's late, and I'm probably suffering from sleep deprivation. If someone can scurry the installer up, that would be most kind. I'll look more for it tomorrow. *falls down on bed and sleeps*

Well, after downloading the official standalone installer for Reader 9.0, I am mightily disappointed. All it does is "process" (whatever it means by that) Adobe Reader 9.0, then disappears. Nothing else ever comes up. No installing ever occurs.
So I resorted to Plan B: Beowulf's suggestion. CCleaner is a rather nifty thing to have; one I'll be keeping. Deleted the folder in Program Files (which is the only one I know that exists) and removed it's registry entries.
Bad luck strikes again. All of the files in the folder except two delete. The other two won't budge for nothing. "Access is denied"
Arrghh.....anyone have a clever solution for getting rid of these two suckers?

You'll have to close explorer.exe first.
Better still - http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

*blows away smoke from tip of gun barrel* busted.....
Unlocked, deleted, registry fixed again, and we're good to go.....
and when I install Reader 9.1, I intend to take very good care of that .msi file!
