Hey guys! First, I would like to greet you all a very Happy New Year, and I want to ask something about the AI.

You see, I am currently playing with Code Red 0.95 Beta, and what can I say, I get bitch-slapped all the time with the Elite AI! :D
Air strikes every 3 minutes, tanks rush every 6 minutes, and talk about base defense, I can't just rush in with my 10 Abrams, it's like I have to form my own tactics. I can't just go in with 10 tanks because it's suicide, I have to do it with long-range artillery, and I have to bring along Patriots because of air strikes. So basically, I love Code Red's AI.

My question is, will D-Day's AI be something like that or even better? If there's one thing I would beg for you guys to implement, will be Code Red's AI, will this be possible?

Thanks for your time, and my apologies if you find this post offensive. :?:

That's why I love you both! :D
Ok Mig, I'm counting on you guys. :D

Oh, last one. You see, when I take out aircrafts, of course they crash but when they crash on structures or vehicles, they (structures and vehicles) sustain damage, not just small damage but a wide area of effect as well, and when an aircraft crashes on a group of infantry, say 6, they all die, and to be honest, I love this feature, will you also implement the same thing for D-Day? :?:

The crash damage is pretty easy to implement. We'll take it into consideration.

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Andre 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I loath the crash damage in CR. By FAR I take more damage from crashing aircraft than I do from the actual missiles the aircraft are trying to fire... and since the crashes have splash damage, I've lost small armies in a single blow because some friggin Fulcrum got its ass shot over my base.

He he he... sound like someone needs to move his AA further from his base :D

in the end, i just build my base around the crash sites (ai attacks from the same direction each time). the only way to move the AA out is to use the crappy little mobile AA's, which are destroyed in 3-3.5 seconds, or use choppers. which are lame as hell.

Yes, pls do that guys :D
It would be really realistic, especially for Japanese planes, and at least even if the enemy takes out your planes they could still make damage or kill a group of infantry, so your efforts wouldn't be in vain, right? :D

Oh, and I hope there won't be any of the following:
1. Parabombs. I don't know if it's just me but dropping bombs with parachutes? :o
2. Buildable Oil Derricts.

Lastly, I hope you can build aircraft on the Tech Airport :D

I think there aren't parabombs or buildable oil derricks planned for the next release

I hope AI isn't to hard because on Blitz if I don't pick a lvl with bridges i'm doomed they rush me and kill me before I get stuff built. left is computer AI :bomb: Right is me

I'm planning to make the dday AI even stronger than the AI i've created for Blitz. :D

Some rush tactics will be present, but those are easy to counter. The advanced tactics will give you something to think about though. :)

I suggest you practice on easy/medium first :p

[Sneak preview]B.t.w. with the next update for the blitz AI destroying the bridges will no longer be enough[/Sneak preview]

NUUU rushing evil thats what always kills me :? i'm not a super fast builder when it comes to alot of untils to counter rushes its my weakness on all RTS games but in battle i'm really good my friends have learned I can do far more damage then they can with small numbers but they learned how to kill me by sending such large numbers that I can't keep track of them all and bam i'm dead. Rushing evil. :D

also destroying the bridges is only a slow them down so they don't rush me right off the bat I put tuns of AA and Anti Tank weapons at the bridge then rebuild it and I let them come after me when everything they have its fun I lost 12 units on time fighting 3 comps onf hardest setting and killed of 1200 enemies before i finaly won.

You can always play easy and medium AI.
And trust me, in the end, you'll thank the team for giving a real pain-in-the-arse AI! :D

Oh and lastly, when I destroy bridges, will you make their engineer repair the bridge, pls? :p

That's what i said.

In D-day it is important you choose your units with care, because making a wrong choice of units for a certain situation will result in losing.
