Completely unlike anything I've read before. I thoroughly enjoyed the first person perspective, and it was very funny. Especially the descriptions of the policemen waiting around at the convention. Believably apt. What did you think of Fear and Loathing?
Only read two pages of The Butt... I think I'm gonna enjoy this. No more on it until I finish though.

Please read 'Needful Things'. I feel the need to rant and show disappointment.and onto Stephen King's memoir book after that.

And that's also one of my summer reading books, if I didn't make that clear. Not sure if I would read it otherwise.

The quote referred to the giving things Elvish names like in LOTR, not the whole series (which I do actually like, even if it's not the best. Guess I'm just mainstream like that).Eragorn is a fucking disgrace, very badly stolen. Not well at all.

A long time ago, in a [galaxy/land] far, far away, there was a mystical order of peacekeepers known as [Jedi/Riders]. They kept the peace for thousands of years. However, it was too good to last. An evil [Sith/Dark Rider] corrupted another of the [Jedi/Riders] named [Vader/Morzan] and together, they destroyed the [Jedi/Riders]. Following this, they set up an Evil Empire. However, there was still hope. The son of [Vader/Morzan] grew up in a remote location with his uncle, not knowing of his parentage or his destiny. (In fact, he was not to learn of his parentage until an epic duel at the end of [Episode/Book] 2.) It was there that he met [Obi-wan/Brom], a former [Jedi/Rider] who had been friends with [Vader/Morzan] and later defeated his former friend in a duel, during which he took the defeated enemy's weapon. He gave [Luke/Eragon] this weapon. However, unfortunately, [Luke/Eragon]'s uncle was killed by servants of the Empire. Then...
I could go on like that for a long time.

So it's very much like Star Wars? Who cares?I could go on like that for a long time.
1. I happen to like Star Wars
2. The third book steps away from that
3. Even if the grand story is already familiar, the details can still make a book fun. This is why reading harry potter for the 532th time is still fun, because you cannot remember all the details.
