The elves have = Best Ranged units = very costly
Other units = Costly to upgrade
Make infantry cheap and spammy

it sounds to me like you want to make every faction use the same template: cheap, spammable infantry; specialize in one thing; have one really good unit that is expensive

I'm not saying all play-styles should be the same, I am saying that... Well, can you at least have destroying a building without siege take minutes rather than seconds?

Id agree with that too, but i just find it a bit wierd how archers are able to destroy stone buildings. Would it be possible to alter archers so that they can't damage buildings. It would mean Ring of Fate's cavalry is less likely to be owned by arrow volleys :p because people would be forced to mix more melea troops in with the archers. And it would take longer to destroy buildings because your archers cant contribute to the damage done by melea troops

The following might sound a little strange coming from me (since I'm the one lobbying for stronger buildings)
But can't we make wooden buildings (or buildings constructed mainly of wood) less resistant against fire arrows.
It would be more realistic.

Not only fire arrows, but fire rocks upgrade for siege.
A second upgrade for siege could also be made, and something like reinforced boulders or something, and do extra damage to stone buildings (whereas the flaming rocks would have less effect)
just a suggestion btw

And I don't realy know if silver arrows should do any damage to buildings at all(probably shouldn't). This way wouldn't tear all other factions to pieces.

Good Idea , I agree !! :p

Normal Arrows = no damage
Fire Arrows = Some damage
Melle units = A liitle more than fire arrows
Siege units / large monsters = vital for Building destruction

Yea, that's not SEE(and hope it woun't be SEE, couse SEE is imo realy boring). But the thing about archers won't be bad(imo). And it would rebalance elves, wich tear any faction badly with archers only. That was my idea, not making RJ-rotwk SEE. :)

But I quite enjoy the way RJ-rotwk looks now. The best mod ever anyway. :)

the archer suggestion could be used, although i wouldnt go as far as to make normal arrows do no damage at all.
still thats a rather large adjustment to make

and by stating that this is not SEE, i just wanted to make sure that things dont get out of hand as far as realism goes. this mod, for the most part, puts fun ahead of realism and i think it needs to stay that way.

That's the whole weakness with Elves. They have the weakest and most worthless siege. There NEEDS to be a balance C.

the elven siege are also not complete atm, so that argument doesnt really work until they are.
