I'm just being critical here, but I think he could be either scaled down or shortened... He looks too powerful and tall. In the movies and books he moved like a rat, crouching and scuttling about...

I don't know if this is possible but he could use the animations (or bones I think their called) of a Goblin Swordsman unit... Of course then he'd jump up and down very 2 seconds and it would probably look really weird... :crazed:
Ignited into the world in a flash of lightning, it gleams faintly in the heart of its mother, wood. It begins as an ember, a mere wisp of heat and colour. Its chance of survival at this critical moment is minute, yet it fights on, against the unforgiving cold, against the depths of night and against its mortal enemy: rain.

Lol, yeah I guess...

And don't worry about being critical. You are also showing manners and respect, and thus it makes you eligible (never could spell that word) to be a critic too :D

About Grishnakh... I have a new model that might look better. I'll post screens later on

... Grishnakh is indeed from Mordor, but he could be assisting Isengard i guess. He did meet up with Ugluk...

The choice of including Grishnákh in the Isengard faction is simply 'a stroke of genius' - apart from adding a needed additional hero to the faction, this does in fact reflect some 'deep' lore concerning the nature and culture of the orcs.

... apart from this, he was in fact temporary under the command of Uglúk (and not the only of Sauron's orcs to be in service of Saruman, though we don't know the names of those others) - there are indeed some other orcs of Mordor (not from LotR, but from The History) that have been dismissed from service in Mordor, and possibly could have been 'relocated' to do service in either Dol Guldur, Isengard ... or Moria! [I'll give the names later]

Beautiful done, Naz :thumbsupsmiley:

Awesome :thumbsupsmiley: It feels way better to do things with your "approval" as I'd like to follow the lore as much as possible, even if the mod is trying to mirror the movies mostly :) Please have a look at the Dwarven Hero topic too in hero section and tell me what you think I should do with the naming of the new heroes in Erebor faction =)

I tried another skin for him, with more movie accurate details... but I'm not really happy with him.

And the other model (from Edain) was using parts that we have for Morannon Orcs... so it won't work either. Perhaps if I try to remove those parts and reskin that model...

I think I'm on to something here... now imagine this one without the breast plate and the arm guards. I will code those away in game... Feels a lot better than the tall model. I guess all orcs should be based on orc models =p

A lot better I think :cool2:

It looks much better than the original image. In looks absolutely great! Just remove the shield!

If you get the textures done and model ingame, will it be in 4.7?

Yes, all the things displayed since the last beta (2 years ago) will be in Beta 4.7 =)

Glad you like him Sul. The fells will go, so Grishnak and Mauhur will take their places :cool2:

Oh, that was just what we needed! Nice model, smart idea to give to Isengard, they really needed the heroes. Just wondering, is Ugluk going to have more powers, it would be nice.

Another hero I thought of for Isengard, probably to replace what you wanted to use Grishnak for (leader of Orc snaga) is that Isengard orc who was all fat. Remember, he was just being fat and said, "We don't have enough wood to feed the fire!" and Saruman's like, "The forest of Fangorn lies at our doorstep, burn it all!" and then he's like, "Yes!"

He could have an ability just like the devastation power, and another one were he starts a fire!

Hehe yes, Grishnakh will have a huge bonus to Orc Snagas of Isengard... so I don't need another orc hero for this faction. Grishnakh and MAUHUR will replace the removed Fellbeasts =) Stay tuned for Mauhur... probably tomorrow - I like to keep modding when I'm in a spree. Once all heroes are added I'm gonna feel like a huge steap has been taken, and we can move on to other things =)

Nice work with the model!

What will be done to remedy Isengard's lack of flying units? The Fellbeasts are truly out of place indeed, but so would a dragon (best to leave them unique to goblins). Perhaps you could compensate by giving them extra-defense against aerial attacks? Maybe a fortress upgrade that sends a large flock of crebain to render flying units useless for awhile while you pin them down with archers?
