Hi everyone this friday (in two days) I am getting my wisdom teeth removed. I am 13 so it is pretty early for me (my bro will get it out as the same time as I am he is 18). I want to know a few things like the pain and stuff. I googled wisdom teeth removal on yahoo answers. I saw it and I am encouraged, but I want to know what you guys think.

It's not bad at all. The pain meds they gave me knocked me out for a day, only waking up for like 10 minutes every few hours. Most sleep I've had in years.

I had an extraction as well as my wisdom teeth removed, but it really isn't too bad.

The worst is dealing with the afterwards. It is really hard to do any eating or talking for about a day, and it'll probably bug you for a few days afterwards.

It all depends how embedded the wisdom teeth are in the gums. I'm surprised you're getting them removed at such an early age. Most do not get them removed until they are at least 18, and some never get them removed. For me, it was a pretty miserable experience. I got really sick from the anesthesia after the surgery and started dry heaving. My pain medication only knocked me out for a couple of hours and it was somewhat painful for a while. After roughly 24 hours, most of the pain should subside. In terms of eating, I could not really eat any solid foods for 4 days. It took me about a month to be able to fully open my mouth again, but I was able to eat pretty much anything after a week.

I recall thinking I was well enough to eat solid food about a week later. I ate a hamburger and tore my stiches. FUN.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Wow, sucks to be you guys. I was back on my feet doing whatever I pleased within a day, and eating regular food within a week.
....I also had 5 wisdom teeth. Yeah, I don't know. :p

Why would you remove them :p

Some people do not have enough space in their mouth so it kind of just wedges itself in a tight space. Very painful. Back in the day when there was not much dental care, having some extra teeth come in at a later age was very useful.

Wow, sucks to be all of you guys. Mine came through at the back, behind my regular teeth, and fit nicely together without disturbing anything. I have one filling, and that is all the dental work I have ever required. My face is awesome.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

Tha is unfortunate, but worry not. I am going on vacation for a week starting Saturday morning, so no modding will be done anyways. I'm not rushing you at all.

Mine came through a while ago, I probably won't have to remove them. Lucky me :p
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

Same for me, my teeth are pretty much perfect. Never required any work on them so far.

I've had braces, and now leftovers (something behind my lower front teeth..)
Other than that, I've never removed anything.. 'cept this that popped out, in a natural way

fancy that

My bro just went in. He has a 30 percent chance of damaging his nerves in his lower left jaw because of the teeth. I am going to go in, in about 1 hour. So if it is similar to extractions during the surgery process then cool. Currently I have braces and I am getting them off this december after 5 1/2 years of it...Wish me luck!

Well, good luck :p

I had braces too for about a year, now only the leftovers behind my upper/lower front teeth. Don't know when/if they're going out.
