Excellent stuff. Pinned.

Why has Ridder Geel only given it a 4 though?

Ridder Geel gave it a 4 because he rarely gives anything a 5. That's because he says 'Nothing is perfect' :)
He's my brother so I know.

But it's an excellent tutorial, and no offense m@tt but his tutorial is better then yours. At least thats my opinion :p It could use some reoganising, why is texturing at the bottom ;)

Of course it's better than mine, he's used a lot of my tutorial (with permission obviously) and added a lot onto it.

5 is excellent. And what is the point of having a 5 if it shouldn't be given? I don't give 5's out easily either, I keep them for the best mods and tutorials.

I know we keep having this argument though... but it still annoys me :)

Texturing is at the bottom because it should come after terrain and water. Haldir does props before texturing, I don't, it's whatever you feel most comfortable doing.

As i've said in the tutorial, i wouldn't even be mapping if it wasn't for m@tt's original tutorial :p

it's whatever you feel most comfortable doing.

This.

The order you do things often depends on the map too. Really, it depends on whether you need to texture around your props.
If you're doing a map like Osgiliath, props are probably going to be before textures. But unless you particularly want to spend time texturing underneath rocks and around shrubs, those type of props are probably going to come later :p

I hope that made sense :)

Thanks for the praise guys
